Captain Steve's Family Seafood Restaurant in Fort Mill, SC

This place has always been a solid pick for generous portions of good food. Service is good and friendly. Only draw back was dine in can get very noisy. It’s loud even when only half full. Even my mother said it was loud and she wasn’t wearing her hearing aids. That’s why I usually get fake out.

The food is delicious and reminds my husband and me of a New Jersey favorite: The Keyport Fishery.

We had 15 people and the KID up front is rude as hell. They won't sit us together, they won't sit us NEAR each other and they won't even sit us at the same time. There's ABSOLUTELY NO reason that we can't be sat at separate tables close to each other to celebrate what we were here to celebrate.... This is absolutely shitty and extremely ridiculous as a restaurant......

My family was going through bereavement and we just needed to get together and enjoy one another. We laugh through our pain so we decided on a cousins outing at Captain Steve. When I tell you that staff was simply amazing. Our waitress (Tay & Jordan) didn’t miss a beat and they participated in our foolishness 🤣 We were laughing loud and my sister acts crazy when she’s hungry 🤦🏾‍♀️🤭 and they even laughed with us at her. They even took pictures of us (Jordan even stood in the chair to get a photo 🤣 I say all that to say, They didn’t know what me and my cousins were dealing with but they provided the best service and WE THANK THEM!!! Ppl don’t have to be nice to you so when they do, so your appreciation 🫶🏾❤️

Love Captain Steve’s Family Seafood Restaurant! My wife and I had not been to the South Carolina location in a while…. we would forget their closed on Monday and drive down only to discover they were closed , so disappointed. But we went on a Saturday night during December…this past week ,and it was delicious! Our waiter was great as I had surgery the first of December and couldn’t drink anything cold . He brought me decaf coffee , and room temperature water which was just what I needed !

Customer service was awful waiter was not attentive at all what so ever and I’m not sure why bc it was 5 of us n she was going to get a tip bc gratuity was included so she got a 40$ tip that was not deserved the way she treated us we had to keep asking other waiters for things we never received only for them to say let me get your waiter and she never came we literally had to yell for her to stop at our table we let the restaurant manager know how our experience was she said oh the gratuity is included it states that on the menu which is fine but I wanted to let u know about our experience she said oh ok no apologies just a idc attitude which is very disgusting coming from a owner we will not b back it doesn’t matter if you have good food poor customer service is a huge turn off as a business owner you need to do better in the customer service area we will not be back if u want poor customer service this is the place to go

The food was okay but I was disappointed with one little thing that ruined my trip just because of the principle of it. I was told by the waitress she couldn't give me sweet and Low with my water because she would get in trouble. I understand her side of it and it's not her fault. But they brought a couple of cole slaws and several hush puppies we didn't ask for that was wasted BUT you can't give me two Sweet and Low packets? I have worked in the food industry waitressing and work Fast Food so I do understand but I think that is petty and I won't go back.

Stuck in 1970s and the fish was over cooked and poor quality. The service had racial preferences. We could not get any service but the folks at tables around us had the staffs total attention
