This Cold Stone location in Fort Mill is much better than the Rivergate location in Steele Creek. I'm a little closer to the Rivergate location, but this one is worth it coming the little extra way.
Each time I've ordered, whether online or in person has been a great experience. One time recently, I tried ordering online, and it would not let me use my coupon - kept saying I needed to add valid items to my cart. I would add different items, and still nothing would work. I went inside and explained the situation. They tried to do the order in the system first before making my order to see if it would work. They had no issues applying the coupon that was on my account to what I wanted to order. Allison J. was on the receipt that time, which appears to be a manager based on other reviews. She is excellent - friendly and helpful!
I do hope they bring back the Don't lay a finger on my Butterfinger creation because it was very good - peanut butter ice cream with Butterfingers, caramel, and chocolate. Yum!
Hard-working personable staff! Clean store.
Delicious creations!
Went here last night with my kids, they were very rowdy and it was pretty crowded, but the staff was still super polite and got through everyone in a reasonable pace. Props to the tall blonde for dealing with all the samples my son wanted!
Have always had average experience but this one was uncalled for. The person taking my order was rude and not helpful. I asked for a specific flavor in the kids cup and she says “I can’t do it” without informing me that the flavor is not meant to be sold in a kids cup. I questioned her and she did not answer and when she did after asking for couple of times, I decided never to return to this store. Usually this store has teens who never smile or greet but this one was an outlier.

I was extremely disappointed by the service at ColdStone on Friday night, November 1st. My family and I, along with other customers, arrived at 8:40pm, well before their listed closing time of 9:30 pm. However, the staff had already turned off the “open” sign, put chairs on the tables, and were actively cleaning and counting the cash on the counter, despite customers being in the store. Not only were we not acknowledged when we walked in, but the employees seemed entirely unwilling to assist us properly. They even refused to mix in toppings, clearly because they didn’t want to have to re-clean the counter. It was very apparent that they were more focused on leaving than providing a decent experience to their customers. This kind of poor service on a busy Friday night is unacceptable, and it left a very negative impression. Would not recommend this location due to the poor customer service provided by the two female employees. Then to have the audacity to ask for a tip…
I requested the owner’s business card or contact information, as I would have preferred to address my concerns directly rather than leaving a negative review. Unfortunately, the staff declined to provide any details. Very disappointing and poor representation of the business.

I guess they no longer mix the ingredients in and just top the ice cream??? We got significantly less toppings because of this too……if I wanted to pay $10 for basically plain ice cream I could’ve went to the grocery store and got a gallon for less than this

This place has moldy ice cream and bad service when are party walked in they said we can’t take this many people and kicked us out.And on the website it says 10:30 but it’s a lie they close at 9:45 and when me and my family walked in my daughter was going to order and they gave her a dirty look and said we are closed in a dirty way and she started crying

First time I came here it was myself and one other person in the store. I couldn't tell if the other person was being helped or was eating and chatting with the employee they seemed to know. Despite there being 2 employees wandering around, I was completely ignored for nearly five minutes, never greeted or told someone would be helping me soon, so I left. Gave it another chance. The ice cream comes out looking absolutely nothing, not even the smallest bit like the pictures they advertise. They throw everything all together and mix it up in one big blob of mush that was melting over the side of my cup. Teeny tiny super thin napkins I might add for an ice cream shop! They show ice cream with sauce drizzles but then just mix it all up inside your flavor ruining it. I shouldn't have to say I want it to look like what it advertised ALL over their store in huge photos. The ice cream is also too sweet. I gave it 2 more tries thinking the 2nd time was just the kid making it didn't know or care what they were doing. Nope, 3rd time, it's just how they make it - it's just not good, which also makes it overpriced.

My husband and I had ice cream on Sunday afternoon. Our clerk, Owen, was very friendly, personable and allowed us to sample the ice creams. He then made super treats for us!
The place seems to be a favorite with teenagers, young adults, families, and older couples. I highly recommend it!
GREAT JOB, OWEN!
Parking: The parting is free, but it’s hard to find it on the street. There is ample parking behind the stores In the area.

Some staff here need to learn how to actually provide ice cream. Got 1 scoop and 2 scoops for an order. Literally one scoop was the size of a golf ball; seriously!? 2 scoops in the small “like it” cup did not even touch the sides of the cup and the 1 scoop wasn’t visible from a side view as well as not touching the sides of the cup.
When paying premium prices actually provide some ice cream. 1 scoop should fill the smallest cup. I shouldn’t have to actually look down inside the cup to even realize there is a golf ball sized ice cream dollop inside. The one positive was another staffer did the last part of my order and it was perfect.
So moral of the review here is, it all depends on who serves you as to how much ice cream you’ll get. Hopefully you’ll get what you pay for, but then again you may not. You feeling lucky? We’ll do ya?

Found two hairs in ice cream including at very bottom of bowl. Please wear hairnets when handling food.
Real bunch of lost kids trying to sell something totally confused and no sense of customer service.

It's beyond ridiculous how the manger doesn't have enough sense to make sure there's at least 3-4 staff in the evenings, line was literally out the door for over 1hr!!! I left...?
