Black people stay away ! This was my second time visiting this bar. I was calm, ordering a drink, and minding my own business when a manager approached me and asked if I was recording. I clearly stated that I was not recording.
Despite this, I was asked to leave without any valid explanation. When I politely asked where I should stand while exiting, the manager stated it was “private property” and then proceeded to call the police.
The situation escalated unnecessarily, especially considering I was there with my child. The police gave conflicting information—at one point saying I was being detained, then later saying I was free to go. I was also told the manager gave two different names (first “Michael,” then “Nick”) which further added to the confusion and lack of professionalism.
There was no disruptive behavior, no recording, and no reason given for removal. The entire interaction felt targeted, intimidating, and discriminatory.
I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Customers—especially parents—should feel safe and respected, not singled out and escalated on without cause.
I would strongly encourage management to review their policies and how situations like this are handled, because this was deeply unsettling and unacceptable.
Update - Your response contains multiple inaccuracies that do not reflect what actually occurred.
There were no reports shared with me prior to being approached, no explanation given at the time, and no inappropriate behavior on my part. I was calmly ordering a drink and minding my business when I was asked if I was recording. I clearly stated that I was not recording.
I was then asked to leave without any stated cause. When I politely asked where I should stand while exiting, I was told the property was private and the police were called. At no point was I hostile or aggressive. The escalation occurred after I complied and attempted to leave calmly.
The presence of my child was not a reason for removal until after law enforcement was contacted, and it was later used to justify a decision that had already been made. Additionally, the manager identified himself by one name initially and a different name later, which contributed to confusion and lack of transparency.
The police themselves provided conflicting information about whether I was detained or free to leave, further demonstrating how unnecessary and poorly handled this situation was.
My review reflects my direct experience. I stand by it. Calling the police on a calm customer without explanation, then reframing events afterward, is deeply concerning. Accountability requires accuracy, not narrative revision.

Great spot for karaoke on Friday nights (8/830) and a good helping of the local singers and karaoke enthusiasts. If you're new in town id stop here! Bar staff is friendly and attentive, a hard found quality in these parts.

Only here during the evening/night, but the staff are always great and just amazing people. Especially Kayla, Sutherland, Alex, Emma, and Rachel
I went here years ago and decided to give it another try. It was alright. The outside area was nice and I would go back in the summer and spend more time out there. They had a dj that was taking requests and seemed to play anything you wanted. Drinks weren’t unreasonably priced either. They had a food truck out back and it smelled really good, so I would also go back and try something.

What happened to live music on Saturday nights?? Used to be so fun. Very disappointing. Please bring live music back!
Cool place for Karaoke on Fridays or to see a band or to watch football in Fort Mil l/ Tega Cay. Read the couple negative reviews on here - never saw any of that. Little hidden gem. No Pretense (it's literally attached to a gas station). Check it out if you live within 10 - 15 min of Carowinds....worth it. I am a little older but I don't feel old there and it's a 2 or 3 generation kind of spot. Nothing fancy - a couple pool tables, outdoor section, some games and a little stage.

Has the best gasoline prices in the area. I have not checked out their food side. The pumps are always a little tight to get into and maneuver
They are races my brother and his husband got jumped last night by the locals that are there. Calling my brother the n word while having his arm on his neck while telling them he couldn’t breathe at this point it was 20 people that jumped him and my brother in law
This place is a homophobia and RACIST! 40 people in this bar jumped my son and his husband and continued to call him the N word and the police did NOTHING! Shame on yall!

Great spot to kick back and have a few. Pizza is available and there is a food truck that is open some days. Service is awesome, drinks are priced well and they have a good happy hour. Definitely recommend.
