Killingtons - Fort Mill

We are from Western Tennessee visiting our son and daughter-in-law. They took us to dinner here last evening. The surrounding area is just beautiful. A small town area from a bygone era. Anyway, the restaurant was very nice with plenty of large windows. The service was good and attentive. The food was excellent. Perfectly prepared and presented. The portions were more than generous and moderately priced. A real winner in my book.

Very disappointing! We hadn’t been here for a couple years, but always liked it before. Unfortunately, it’s gone way downhill. Not only is there a duct tape on most booth seats, but our table And others around us had some sort of sticky film on it. The food was not very good. It wasn’t gross, but it certainly wasn’t anything worth noting. Our server was OK, but for being only one of about three tables occupied in the whole restaurant, you would’ve thought she would’ve been spectacular.

If you want to be ignored, go here! Second time trying this place and food is hit or miss. Sandwiches are decent but the wings were barely cooked thru. Really awful service - not friendly and no one to check in when it takes over an hour for a salad…would have ordered more drinks while waiting if someone came over. Will not be going back

Phantastic Philly evening watching the Birds in Brazil! Food was great, especially the Philly Cheesesteak and the huge pretzel!

The service was on point, the food delicious and the atmosphere was laid back, quiet and personal. There is a bar for those wanting to mingle and plenty of table seating for family and friends wanting a personal group setting.

Parking: If you drive behind the building there is a decent sized parking lot. Street Parking is available but tends to get full.

We eat here every 1-2 months and consider this one of our "go to" places. Usually give 5 stars but noticed this time it's getting pretty grungy and dirty on the inside. Food and drink splatters all over the wall at our booth, table and seats were grimey feeling, and cobwebs and thick dust EVERYWHERE. The ceiling and exposed pipes/light fixtures had many, many cobwebs hanging from them and all the flat surfaces had thick dust.

2024, around 8pm-thank you for assisting me with the doordash. The yonlung lady with the brown shirt, blinde hair, is unfortunately was not able to assist me, as she was busy checking her phone. She was so kind to direct me to the bar full of people, with the kind bartender that assisted me with. She made me feel welcome. The young lady with the brown shirt, blonde hair made me feel absolutely unwelcome, acknowledgement even seemed above her.

So can I tell you how excited I was to try this place out! I was meeting my friend for dinner and Googled this location. After we both checked out the menu, we decided to give it a try! I get there after an hour drive due to rush hour, but I wanted to get there for early dinner. Generally, food is best when it is fresh and not under heat lamps. Let's start with the service, because that is the most important to me. I've been places food not so good, service and atmosphere phenomenal. Not the case here. Our server either worked a double or had too many tables. For a Thursday it was a nice crowd. No long waits for tables. Everyone was seated promptly. Back to our server, she was very rushed. Which now that I think about it, so was the person who actually brought our food to the table. Asked for our drink order and then took our food order. She took off so fast I couldn't ask for anything like put the pimento cheese on the side, and does ranch come with the homemade chips. I figured I'd ask when she brought the food. I ordered the burger with chips and a vanilla mule. The drink was excellent! My friend ordered the chicken/shrimp bayou pasta. Upon opening my silverware roll the knife had what looked like dried on lettuce??‍♀️on it. So my friend said to go utensils I said good idea. Drinks come, she takes off. I can't bring the dirty utensils to her attention. Someone brings the food and I ask for ranch and ketchup. Server comes to ask how the food is and is barely stopping to hear our response. We had to stop talking to demand her attention and ask if the table has salt and pepper. She said can you tell me everything you need now so I can get it while I'm back there? Oh I'm sorry that I'm asking for basics for a meal that I'm paying for. I mean the definition of a server is to serve. Well anyway after our audacity to ask for salt and pepper she puts the check on the table as if she's leaving for the evening. She said I'm about to leave, so I'll just leave this here. We asked if she split the check. No, but I can split them for you with attitude. Again how kind of you. She hovered over us, so we paid so she could go. I told her about the dirty knife, she was like whatever. As a first time patron I would give the server 2 out of 10 tomatoes because whatever was going on in her life at that time. Shouldn't have been taken out on us. The food was good, but I will try the Huntersville location. Generally that area has excellent servers. Sorry Fort Mill we won't be back.

The pretzel was so yummy. The food all was so tasty- our favorite in Baxter. Cade was such a great server! So attentive to us and the service was perfect - we will definitely be back!

Horrible experience with false representation of Beef on Weck! it was a dry roast beef sandwich with a little salt on the bun. No caraway seeds, au jus, or horseradish. Very disappointing!!! It was so bad that we will never eat there again
