First time at Konnichiwa, so we decided to try a few different menu items. Let's just say everything was great. Billy, our server, was spot on with his recommendations, on top of what we normally order when having sushi. Speaking of our server. Billy was awesome, attentive, and always friendly. The ambiance is nothing special. Which is fine by us, but for those expecting/ wanting scenic views, this is not the place. You come here for the food and service. We will be back.

FOOD WAS HORRIBLE! Everything was disgustingly sweet, even the vegetables. They were limp, overcooked and covered with a sweet sauce. The ginger salad was full of water in the bottom of the bowl with a creepy creamy sweet ginger dressing. The chicken was dry as a bone and covered with a sweet sauce that couldn’t hide how dry the chicken actually was. The sushi was served with no ginger or wasabi, The spider roll was covered with so much sweet sauce you couldn’t eat it! WILL NOT GO BACK! I HAD AN EXTREME CASE OF DIARRHEA WHEN I GOT HOME EVEN THOUGH I ATE VERY LITTLE OF IT. WE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT AND THEY CHARGED US FULL PRIICE, MY HUSBAND’S WAS WORSE THAN MINE!

The best Asian restaurant in Fort Mill, by far! Don’t even mess with Akahana, just go to Konnichiwa. They’re still getting 5-stars even though, after I told them I was horribly allergic to corn, had corn in my rice bowl. They made it right and apologized. Good thing CVS was next door. A true hidden gem!

Met my buddy today at Konnichiwa Ft Mill for a late lunch. Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted & taken to our table. The extensive menu was impressive, and the imported beer selection was decent, too. Our awesome server Devi attended to our every need, but also let us linger afterward to catch up. Can't wait to return. HINT: Don't miss the Shrimp Tempura from their Small Plates menu ?
