Small resturant with traditional Mexican food. Very good guacamole and chips. They offer traditional Margaritas but not any fruit flavors at this time. They close at 8:30 pm. Worth a trip.

Got takeout recently and I honestly did not eat anything other than a single bite of the Carne Asada (steak) taco and the Al Pastor taco. Had my husband try it and he agreed the food had absolutely no seasoning on it. At all. Never tried Mexican food so bland in my life.

Delicious California style chicken burrito. Stuffed and rolled with meat, rice, green onion, jalapeno, tomato, lettuce. Plenty for 2 . 10" roll topped with warm crema. Clean dining area. Cantina style ambiance.

The California style burrito with chicken was outstanding. Soft tortilla shell with chicken , Mexican rice, tomato, lettuce, green onion, and just enough heat in the chopped pepper. Warm crema on top with green onions . Can be ordered with beef . One burrito feeds two! We love this place! Clean and bright dining area, cantina style decor.

I work down the street, & drive past here alotI was always curious but there's no menu just pics of it on Google, so I was hesitant. I called in an order, picked it up no problem!I'm so glad I did because the chicken California burrito is the BEST I'VE EVER HAD in my whole life! ??It came to almost $16 but it's soooo worth it, it was HUGE! It had to be at least 18" long! All the flavors together were delicious!! Came with chips & salsa. It was a little spicy but I do not care because I will be ordering this all time now!

The food was good. The service was lacking due to being understaffed. I may try again for a sit down meal, but never for takeout. They charge extra for takeout even though I'm putting less burden on their already short staff.

Have been ignoring this place as just another gringo version of Mexican, esp. Jalisco style food. Ho! Very surprised when I walked in for lunch. Lots of brown faces and most all tables filled. Looked promising. The menu is excellent and NOT typical of American style but TIPICO (authentic/characteristic of/like local). What a find. I asked the waitress if all the employees were Tapitios (from Jalisco) and she said she was from Vera Cruz but that the owners were Tapitios. They have seafood: ceviche (marinated fish "cooked" with lime juice), shrimp, talapia fish. Traditional soups: every day beef soup and weekends only for Menudo and shrimp soup (sopa de camaron). Other platters are carnitas (twice fried pork), fajitas of carne asada (beef), chicken, shrimp or Texas (I have no idea, but will find out and eat it), micheladas (VERY Mexican...a bloody mary with a light beer base, all sorts of spices and a tomato juice), Horchata (a rice-based, evaporated milk drink accented with cinnamon...takes the burn out of too much spice), Jamica (hibiscus drink) and Tamarindo (tart and sweet tamarind, water & sugar drink.) These three are regular vendor drinks sold on the streets, and they are right here in Indian Land. Of course, beers and sodas, both domestic and Mexican, along with all types of taco, burrito, enchilada, quesadilla and even papusas (the stuffed corn cakes from El Salvador). I had a special BBQ (beef, like we have in the southeast) grilled tacos. Never had them before. They were hot and full of juicy BBQ with cheese in the base of the folded taco. Scrumpcious and so rich that I could only eat two of the three served (what a horrible waste of great yummies). Knock your selves out, guys! Suggest you get a 4 - 6 person group together and set up your own sampler to try most all of it. You will be in good company with the Tapitios and other Mexicans living and working in the area.

This was our first visit, and we were very pleased with the food; it was delicious and there was a lot of it. We ordered five tacos for two of us and we had enough for me to have lunch the next day. We can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.

This is not a traditional Mexican American joint but a legit and authentic Mexican spot. We ordered the menudo soup, lengua tacos and beef enchiladas. The menudo contains beef tripe, tendon, honeycomb and pieces of meat that were all tender and soft as can be and melts in your mouth. The broth itself is spicy and full of bold flavors. The beef enchiladas was very tasty as you can taste the home cooking flavors of the dish. The lengua (cow tongue) tacos were legit and authentic just as you would find at a Mexican taco truck. The pieces of lengua meat were cooked to perfection as it's tender and falls apart in your mouth. The green and red sauce are spicy and will add even more flavors to any dish! Again this is not a typical Mexican American joint as it has the real deal Mexican food! I highly recommend!

We go to this restaurant several times a month and the food is always delicious. I love the chicken burrito and usually think about it for days after I have it. The sauces are very good and spicy. The owners are so nice!!! The restaurant is really clean and casual. Great margaritas too.

Not the greatest experience. I will grant you it was May 5, aka Cinco de Mayo. But that is ZERO excuse for the lack of service. And you had at least 8 waitresses; you were not under-staffed. It was also my daughter-in-law's birthday dinner.. We were seated around quarter past 6 and for the next hour, the only service we got was the chips and salsa and our drink order. And the drinks came very late. People who came in after us were seated, drinked, ordered, were fed, and almost finished BEFORE our order was even taken. And this was after complaining to mgmt TWICE already. To say we did not have a wonderful experience is an understatement. It may be a one-time deal, but it will be quite a long time...IF EVER...before you get our business again.

Fantastic food, homemade and delicious. They really don't speak much English but it was no issue. If you need fancy and you are Bougie then go somewhere else and don't come here and complain. This is like a little convenient store with tables inside. The margaritas (only have one kind) are fantastic and we have found our new go to for Mexican food

La Tapatia = The one from Guadalajara I've driven by this place so many times and my timing never seemed to match their hours or my stomach until today. I stopped in for an early dinner so it wasn't busy at all. I had the chicken & bbq beef tacos on flour tortilla with a side of guacamole. The guac was so fresh so flavorful, it was delicious. The tacos were good, they add lettuce, cheese and cilantro, hold the onions please. Victoria, the Manager was vey nice, though her English was not great, I speak a little Spanish so it worked out well. It's a restaurant and tienda = store, so you get bottled beverages and dry goods. They serve Mexican and domestic beer. The quality is good and a broad and varied menu with lots of interesting options so I will certainly return. Plenty of free dedicated parking.

Super fast and fresh food. La Tapatia is a great neighborhood Mexican restaurant that offers several authentic dishes for dine in a take out. I ordered the steak tacos and received them in 5 minutes -- plus enjoyed freshly make chips while I waited. I visited on a weekday for dinner and there wasn't a wait at all (if you are looking for quick service). Prices are pretty reasonable with a la cart options for just a few dollars, with entrees starting around $10.

A hidden gem. Salsa was solid. The carne asada street tacos, rice and beans were delicious. My gf had the braised carnitas with green sauce ( Verde perhaps) and ate every bite. We were surprised that we were the only ones in the place on a Wednesday. I know they are under new ownership, so maybe just getting started. If you LOVE Mexican food. Go there before everyone finds out about it! ??
