My dad picks up a lot of their local goods for our entire family. We love the steaks, banana bread, crumb cake slices and elderberry syrup. Seasonal donuts are also a go to.

In the past, I haven't had much to complain about because I enjoy browsing around the store. But this day I called in an order. Went to pick it up from the cafe and stood at the counter a couple of minutes just to watch all I'd the workers behind the counter either past me by, or not acknowledge me standing there patiently even though I was on my way to work. Finally, I asked for help and one lady said I was at the wrong end of the counter. No apologies for their rudeness just rung me up and sent me on my way. PS- JUST IN CASE YOU DON'T REMEMBER ME. I ORDERED RARE ROAST BEEF AND SWISS ON WHITE WITH ALL THE FIXINGS! The sandwich was good but experience is just as important! I've been a patron for many years, so I'm really disappointed 😞

Okay this is a great place to go and since North Carolina does not want to sell raw milk to consumers this is pretty much the only place I could find but I'm glad that I did find it. They have this weird baked cheese that's in the cooler and it makes a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich if you heat it up in a pan and soften it. I also bought Blackberry jelly and that was ridiculously good. I got the kind without seeds so they don't get stuck in my teeth and it was worth every cent. This place is not cheap so if you're broke don't go here.
