Applebee's Grill + Bar

Server was new so I wouldn't particularly blame her, perhaps whoever trained her, or her lack of training. But the service was very poor. The overall vibe of the staff seemed disconnected to the guests though it wasn't just our server. Everything was very awkward, the server was inexperienced and didn't have the answers to some of our questions but she never made any attempt to GET the answer. Just "I don't know" or "I'm not sure I'm new"... Very odd.
A fork was dirty so I had to send that back.
It took very long to get our drink even though there was not one guest at the bar, we finally saw a bartender making a drink 8 minutes after we had ordered it. The restaurant was not that busy given how many servers I'd see standing around.
And the server dropped the checks off minutes after we started eating. She was polite enough to say "no rush, this is just so I don't get sidetracked" so I understand she's probably just making sure she won't forget. But again, poor training because that's not good server etiquette. She didn't check on our meals while we were eating or even asked if we were done! Just gave us our checks haha it was so unusual and awkward. I still tipped her well because I don't particularly blame HER, you could tell she wasn't trained very well poor girl. The overall atmosphere was uninviting though the staff doesn't seem attentive or welcoming it just felt like they'd all rather be somewhere else. It was a very uncomfortable experience. I won't be going back to that location

Food was burnt. Waitress was great but well over tasked. And the food wasn't hot. Got our refill of tea after finished our meal.

Didnt get what we asked for and then was charged for sauce after they forgot to put it on our ribs. Very poor service

Table was nasty, the server was very rude and unprofessional we ordered a appetizer we were never given silverware

The food was good. I hadn't been to an Applebee's in many years and really wasn't my ideal pick, but it was really bout the only thing gaffney offered. Nevertheless, food was good, and the service was good and may end up trying it out again in my hometown.

Food was definitely good but the chicken was on a bit on the dry side. I had chicken parm with bread sticks. The staff is very friendly and a great place to catch the games.

The service was good, but the food was just average & probably sub par for the price. The chicken on my broccoli alfredo was tough & I paid extra to get it. Not worth the money.

The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfectio. My wife thought the 6 Oz was small, go with 8 oz on 2 for 25

Orderd a 12 oz steak and shrimp times 2 both was under 8 oz asked the waitress is this was 2 for 25 she insisted it wasn't my husband was a grill cook for years they was around 5 oz with 2 shrimp on top pathetic

Had a fantastic meal at Applebee’s in Gaffney! Fredericka was my server, and she was amazing. She knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect. On top of that, she was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area, which made the experience even better. I felt like I was being treated like family. I’ll definitely be back! A+++
