Very disapointed. Over cooked. Not impressed with portions for what they call "large" order for the money. More hushpuppies than seafood and both didn't seem fresh. Food was luke warm. Served a vegetable spread in place of real butter. No flatware or napkins in carryout. Server was very nice and polite.
Guess I'll keep searching for that great local seafood restaurant.

Got 3 to go orders. We were only able to identify which plate was my brother-in-law's because he had a sweet potato. My sister's plate was missing onion rings so we didn't know which plate was her's and which one was mine as we both had fish. We couldn't determine which fish was her's or mine. They both tasted the same, with hardly any taste at all. Not impressed.

There are new owners and a change in the name....it is now John Boys Seafood.
Drove all the way from Chesnee to eat here. Went online to see opening time and days. It said open Friday at 4. So we found it (the sign on the street says Johns). Pulled in at right at 4 and noticed it was dark inside. Finally saw a 3 x 4 sign on the door saying it was closed till Monday for the July 4th holiday. Ate at Daddy Joes, had a great meal and doubt we’ll try Colonial (or John’s) again.
Food and service are both great.

Mislabeled seafood.
Scallops are not scallops, but rather Shark or Skate. Scallops are not all same diameter in size.

Food cold service and atmosphere a joke self service in dine in area.with that being said... when you come in you order your food at counter then when you pay they ask you if you want to leave a tip so you leaves a tip all the while not knowing that it is a self service place after you sit down at your table. They bring you your food after about 15 minutes then you are on your own for everything... getting your own drink silverware etc.so if you run out of drink you have to get up to get more...WHY leave a tip??? NO ONE asks you at your table if you need anything? Why leave a tip when you have served yourself and have cold food? This was our first and last time there.my husband got salad with his meal and he sent me to get him more watermelon that was on salad bar.salad bar is hidden in another room from dining room and that is the only time I saw anyone who works there and she was RUDE!! She came up behind me while I was trying to figure out which covered stainless steel cart the watermelon was in and blurted out loud and rude to me "why are you even in that" needless to say I didn't know it was the wrong cart to be looking in that they had it covered with a specific lace throw which I had just walked up to look when she rudely blurted out? I turned and told her I was looking for watermelon for my husband and her reply was did he get a salad bar? Well it upset me so I replied rudely back to her and she showed me where the watermelon was and I got it and went back to table.as I was walking back to table she offered me a bowl for the watermelon.that is the ONLY time in that dining area that we saw a worker. She couldn't have been a waitress because we go NO service we served ourselves!.I am a senior citizen and I didn't appreciate her approach to me in the salad bar room. I wanted to go to the counter when we were leaving to ask for our tip back but my husband wouldn't let me.
