This was such a poor experience that we ended up walking out (with permission) without paying for our drinks. Before arriving, we called ahead and made an 8 p.m. reservation. When we arrived, the hostess was on her personal cell phone, speaking on speaker about something clearly unrelated to work. When we approached, she rolled her eyes and hung up before addressing us. I explained that we had a reservation, but without asking for my name, phone number, or even the reservation time, she simply led us straight to a table. Normally, that wouldn’t have been an issue, but knowing what I know now, makes the action seem careless. Once seated, our server was polite, but it was hard not to notice that he was much friendlier and more attentive with larger parties around us. Still, I do appreciate that he was understanding when we decided to leave. We started by ordering a Bloomin’ Onion, only to watch two tables seated *after* us receive theirs while we were later told by another staff member (in a panthers jersey, no less) that they were out and had substituted it with a cheaper appetizer. That explanation didn’t add up, considering others around us were still being served bloomin’ onions. We had only ordered drinks at that point. I ordered a Sharky Temple, which was supposed to come with a small plastic shark. Instead, it arrived already filled with syrup, the entire glass covered in red sticky syrup, with no straws and no napkins to clean sticky mess. My friend ordered a Dr. Pepper, which came in a dirty glass containing lemon pulp, despite being a plain soda. It was unsanitary and frankly unacceptable.
Overall, the service was careless, the explanations didn’t make sense, and the basic standards of cleanliness and hospitality were not met.

Sat at the bar and the bartender was phenomenal. Steak was cooked to perfection and lobster was tasty.
Good place to grab a bite while you're on a trip or doing some shopping at the mall. The service is not so bad and the food it's pretty good. Staff is great as every Steakhouse, keep going guys

This was my first time ever at an outback and I was very disappointed. Ordered a water n tea and received a sprite instead. Then my chicken sandwich was burnt n covered in oil. Had to soak it up with a napkin. My tomato was cut extra thick in my sandwich. My croutons were old on my side salad. Couldn’t eat it at all and left with just a drink. My daughter tenders n fruits were ok but took long to come out when hardly anyone was there. Not a good experience at all.

We love this outback. Rarely are there any issues. We probably come to this outback location in gaffney at least once a month if we can (we live about 45 mins-1 hr away.)
Though we’ve been coming here regularly since 2020, I only now have felt compelled to write a review. We have had great service before! But we are absolutely blown away by our new favorite waitress!!!!!
This is only her 3rd time waiting on us I believe. The first time they sat us with her was so great, the next time we requested her, and we requested her again tonight. Her name is Taylor. And she is so wonderful, she really goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service!!!!! She is very attentive, professional, and friendly all at the same time. We have 2 small children and she is very kind to them as well, while on the other hand some other servers do not even acknowledge children. I appreciate her kindness towards them!! We will literally ask for her every single time we return to this location.
The food is always great. Any issues at all ever, all of the staff is always apologetic and eager to correct the issue. We’ve rarely ever had to wait an unreasonable time to be sat, or for our food. But it is to be expected on a busy night.
I recommend asking for Taylor, ordering the steak and ordering the chocolate thunder down under! As I mentioned we’ve been coming here for years and just discovered the chocolate thunder down under dessert in the last few months.
I will be mentioning it to the manager tonight how wonderful Taylor is before we leave!!!! I’m writing this review as we are waiting on our desserts :) :)
