Stopped in for takeout on a road trip. Very friendly service. Cabbage rolls, pilaf, eggplant salad were all delicious. Meat was a bit dry but still flavorful. Would come back.

Upon entering the building, you're met with the pleasant aroma of herbs, spices, and baked goods. The owner showed us to our seats and was very helpful, describing various menu items. I tried the compot first, a refreshing, fruity drink. For my entree, I ordered the lulu kebab with dolma and cabbage salad. The dolma is essentially meat and rice stuffed in a steamed grape leaf, and it was immaculate. It paired nicely with the white mushroom sauce, pickled red onions and cabbage salad. I was not prepared for the explosion of flavors packed into their kebabs, however. The fact that I've lived 27 years without eating it should be a crime. In conclusion, this restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is made with fresh ingredients, but the pride and love put into these dishes is what left an impression on me enough to write this review. I'm giving this place a 10/10 only because I can't rate it any higher. Give this place a try!

We have just moved to Gaffney and have driven by Smak and knew it wasn’t the BBQ place that is painted on the roof, but hadn’t gone in. Today we went in, sat down and had excellent food! Our group of 6 was impressed with everything that came to our table from the lamb pot roast to the Tajik Pilaf, kebabs, dumplings and cabbage rolls we were all impressed! Thank you Smak for providing delicious food, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere! We will definitely be make this a regular stop!

Amazing Borsch and Compote, like my grandma made when I was a child! ? Stuffed Pepper was loaded more with beef than rice. Prune Cake was super-fresh and not too sweet, which is perfect if you prefer European baked goods over American ones. ?

It's eastern European food, I got the tajik pilafb meaning chicken kabab, pilaf, and salad (beet) combo. Order extra pickled onions if you do, you won't regret it .
On top of the flavor, the food LOOKS good too.

my girlfriend and I stopped in for dinner and it was a great experience all around , I got the mamas dumplings, crepes and she got the baklava , and the cabbage perogies and let me tell you it was absolutely delicious!!! Homemade fresh dumplings!?? A little bit of a language barrier but not bad! Overall it's a hit for us , we will definitely be back!
