The sweet potato casserole was good but the macaroni needed to be cooked just a little bit longer The flounder with bland didn't have any seasoning on it and I also had the two piece chicken a breast and a wing. The breast was undercooked in the middle.

Foods phenominal, got a lil spooked pullin up to a gas station but everyone was super sweet and we got our drinks at the adjacent store while we waited for the chicken to come out. Chicken was super crispy and tender, but the pork neckbone is just amazing, just melts in your mouth and v flavorful, even got myself an extra entree of it to go. Im only docking a star because i really wish the mac n chees had a lil more cream to it. Its still good for sure, i just feel like it could be a little better with how good everything else is. Def give this spot a try if you need a stop on the road for some cheap good filling food for the soulšŸ’œāœØļø

Y’all! Go to The Good Eating Kitchen! It is everything I have always loved about growing up in the south: very warm, friendly owners, great customer service, and the food! Oh, the southern soul food! Between the 3 of us, we had fried chicken, cabbage, mac and cheese, lima beans, lemon cake and strawberry cake. We highly recommend it all. There’s nothing not to love there. I even gave 5 stars for the atmosphere bc the kitchen was so clean and, it is inside a convenience store, but, when you’ve been in the south all your life, you know…sometimes these simple little hidden gems are the absolute best. That’s certainly true for The Good Eating Kitchen. Don’t miss out, y’all. Go!

Friendly staff, affordable prices, tasty food. My only con was the rice and gravy. No flavor and overcooked gummy rice. Everything else tasted GREAT!!

I've been driving past this place everyday, not realizing what a gem is awaiting inside. My 4yr old and I stopped by today and seeing how delicious everything looked and smelled, we opened everything up in the car and ate side by side. She can be VERY picky at times and said "Oh ma gawd, everybody in the world is gonna love this" when she tried the food. The food instantly reminded me of a typical southern Sunday dinner at my grandma's house, and the service was incredible! They're so sweet! I'll definitely be coming back, maybe even as soon as tomorrow because it's JUST THAT GOOD!

The chef, Ms. Jones, was friendly and helpful when I called for directions, and continued with the same when I arrived. We had a great conversation, and she was very helpful with reviewing the pricing and selections. It was difficult to make a decision without getting one of everything, but I settled on a fried flounder sandwich. It had two generous pieces of flounder and my favorite part is….name brand mustard and hot sauce packets. I’m a Texas Pete fan, and Ms. Jones delivered. Forgot to take a picture because I started eating right away. I will next time!😊

I was in staying on the outskirts of Columbia and wanted a southern meal from a Black owned establishment. While I found no mention of the latter, I decide to take a chance and took a ride. I ordered M&C, green beans, baked spaghetti, and a slice of chocolate cake. Once back ā€œhome,ā€ I opened my tray. The for the price, the portions were generous and the food did not lack seasoning, texture, or taste. The only altering I did was removed the cheese casing from the spaghetti because I already had cheese from the mac. This place is located within a store. I like how they have a daily menu. Maybe concentrating on a limited amount of food helps maintain that country flair. I believe the green beans weren’t farm to table, but they received attention.

My coworker brought me a plate last week, the food was great…had to go by there myself yesterday. The chicken was so good and the veggies even better. Will definitely be back!
