I wanted to love this restaurant. The service was very good, but the food not too good. We ordered the shrimp hush puppies, they were very tasty, but unfortunately the rest was disappointing. We had the 1791 sandwich with grilled fish. It was the thickest and most overcooked fish I’ve ever tasted. The fries were fine but nothing special. The chili was more like a soup than a chili and the pieces of brisket were tiny like crotons. The salad that I was excited about (Hopsewee) was boring and seemed like something I’d make at home. Maybe we picked the wrong items, but overall our experience was sub par.

Food was decent. Atmosphere and view were great. Waitstaff was rude and left much to be desired - acted like serving customers was throwing a wrench in their day. Overall fine for lunch but next time I'm back in Georgetown I'll definitely go elsewhere for a meal.

Went there at for to eat. I was told only drinking until 5. I was waiting on a friend and they didn't ask if I could come in and wait or have a drink. I won't go back

Watched the older male bartender today at brunch over-serve a customer to the point that the customer was stumbling around and fell over. The bartender sent him on his way, despite the fact that he was clearly highly intoxicated, to drive himself home. A tall male employee who was working appeared to be tasked with taking the man home, as he thankfully recognized the man was too intoxicated to drive. The man working on the bar today shouldn’t be allowed to serve alcohol to anyone since he is okay with over-serving. A real shame to the industry, who could get someone killed.

Food was phenomenal, atmosphere was great, but watching this situation unfold was alarming.

Sunday lunch/brunch with guests.
A complete miss. Short on staff, hostess clueless, food served not as described on menu. Thank goodness no allergies were an issue.
This was 2nd try here.
Will never return.

We were very pleased with the location and the open design of the building, which offered a wonderful view of the water. The service was satisfactory, and we particularly enjoyed the hush puppies. Unfortunately, we encountered some difficulty in securing an Uber ride; however, we were fortunate to receive assistance from a kind couple at the restaurant who graciously offered us a ride.

Great spot on the water with Lowcountry food, lots of fresh seafood. Service can get slow at times but is friendly and accurate.
