Found this place by chance while passing through on my way to Charleston. I'm so glad I found it. This was some of the best breakfast I've had in my life. I am definitely stopping in here again on my way back home.

very friendly/super nice staff even through a major breakfast rush. it was very busy but they made sure everyone was satisfied with their meal and given it in time! i ordered pancakes with a hot chocolate which was so good. if you’re looking for breakfast or even just a warm drink in the gtown area this is the place i would choose!

We weren't greeted when we came in. Or when we sat in the waiting area. Most every table was full of people just hanging out on conputers and phones with empty plates. There were only 2 women absolutely stressed out to the max running around a packed place. We went to the Cafe across the street and had a wonderful breakfast with sweet waitresses that greeted us with smiles right as we walked in and checked on us with kindness and great attitudes. The food was delicious and came out in minutes after we ordered it. Great food, at a great price, with southern hospitality right across the street. Don't waste your time waiting to get served by over worked waitresses on over priced food. Go across the street and thank me later.

Our museum volunteer’s new FAVORITE PLACE to order lunch on Fridays. The soups and sandwiches are THE BEST and the Sweet Tea is perfect. Tomato Basil and Chicken’n Dumplings. . . YUM!

I’ve been to this establishment twice now. Each time has been absolutely lovely! Between the service and the food; I honestly have no words by how much I’ve been blown away!!! The first time I went, I asked about a cheese because didn’t know what it was on the fig awesome burger. The waitresses were super kind and didn’t laugh at me because I didn’t know what it was! I have to say that the fig awesome burger listed on the limited time menu, and honestly, I’m kind of hope they want to make it a permanent menu item was the best burger I have had in a loooooong time!! Honestly, best place to eat in Georgetown!! Stopping in and getting something as simple as a grilled cheese and tomato soup will just blow you away and make your tummy Super happy!! 😃
Thanks for all your efforts to everyone that works at this establishment. Keep up the great work!!

When me and my mom walked in, EVERYONE stopped talking and glared at us..(we’re African American) we couldn’t even order food because the vibes felt so off like we weren’t welcome there.. so if your a POC pls don’t go here!!

This is one of my go-to places for coffee and breakfast with friends or a date with my husband. The staff are friendly, and the food is great. However, plan to be there for a while because it does take some time to get your food. If you're not in a rush, then this is a great restaurant option.

Came to town for the boat show. I'm always struck by the wonderful southern hospitality while I visit from seasonally from Boston. Stopped in here for a breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee a couple of times during my visit. Attentive service with a smile and decent cup of java and a perfectly toasted breakfast sandwich served with a Southern smile that twinkled. What more could you ask for. Give them a try.

A wonderful breakfast! Eggs cooked perfectly, crispy& smoky bacon and home fries as good as I ever tasted! The coffee was strong enough and splendid service! Just across from a lovely Harbor walk nestled in the most charming SC town! ❤️
Walked in and immediately noticed/felt the vibe of the place, that mid to late 90's aura which was a great time in America..
Clean and well kept
The blueberry muffin cracked my top 3EVER..

I really struggled with giving two vs three stars. I wish there was a half star option because this place is a solid 2.5 stars. And, honestly, one full star is because they had heavy cream- which many coffee places do not. We visited at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning in late September and the place was crowded. Since we wanted coffee to go we thought that would be a quick transaction at the counter. This was not our experience at all. To begin, there was what seemed like chaos around the to-go area with people putting their names on a list to be seated, others waiting for to-go food and others, like us, wanting to order to-go coffees. Not a single Brewed Awakenings employee acknowledged or seemed to want to help us. After waiting approx 15 minutes, we ordered 4 drip coffees and 2 blueberry muffins to go. It took 25 minutes to prepare. The coffee was strong but went well with my heavy cream. The muffins were horrible. Just horrible. Everything was served in styrofoam - which is always disappointing. For 30+ minutes while we waited, waiters walked by with plates of breakfast food that looked delicious. An order of biscuits and gravy went past that looked absolutely divine. I would probably go back when I had all the time in the world to wait and try the food but would def skip this place for quick, to-go coffees.
Excellent Quick Service Very Friendly Staff.
