Quaint local breakfast and coffee cafe. Blue Ribbon Sandwich and Brazilian hot coffee definitely hit the spot. Staff was absolutely friendly. Although they were busy on a Saturday morning and we waited for our take out for approximately 35 minutes, we were asked if we'd like more coffee and just absolutely kind. They keep the creamer/sugar station constantly stocked. The food we've seen come out of the kitchen looks fabulous and service is wonderful. We'll be back for sit down service!
Let me start by saying they have delicious coffee. After that it all went downhill. We sat at the table for table service. We each ordered eggs, to come with grits and toast. There were four of us. We waited almost 2 hours for our eggs after ordering at which time our eggs came simply on a plate no grits no toast only for only two. 20 minutes later the other two got the same thing we were told they ran out of grits. No one checked on us and when we asked we were told they didn’t know why.. ?!… No apologies for the wait or lack of sides. They ultimately brought us out some toast, it was a very disappointing experience and I’d never go back.
Google said Best Sunday Brunch in Georgetown! If so, there must be 2 of em, and we went to the bad one!..... So we arrive at 11 am today. Greeter sat us, and waitress came up and says...."kitchen is shut down for the next 20 minutes"...odd for the best brunch in G'town, but we're easy. So we go take a walk....on our way out, two couples were walking in, so I held the door for them. We return 20 minutes later, get seated, and same waitress comes up and says...."kitchen shut down for 15 minutes".... Ok, well can we get a coke and a sweet tea? Sure....so after coming back to ask what that second drink was, she returns with drinks...still can't order. So we look around, and everyone in the place is eating... Including the 2 couples I held the door for!? WTH? The waitress sees that we noticed, and says to another waitress, "oh, we can take orders now?"....then disappears.... We're easy, but we're not gonna be the back-of-house joke of the day....waitress doesn't return..(You can't make this stuff up). So we walk up to the desk...very kindly and quietly say we're gonna just head on out....her response. "That's $9.86 for the bottle of coke and glass of sweet tea". ..I never said a word..... It would've been pointless... These kids are TRYING to let you know they don't care. Ripleys isn't this strange. I wouldn't eat there if it was free. And I'm sure going to spread that word ....often....I'm gonna tell that true story over and over....and to everyone that comes to visit us as we drive them down Front Street....... We're 63. We're really quiet and polite. That was in the top 3 of bad restaurant experiences ever. (Did I break up with this Girls' Mom in High School?) They're Not friendly, not polite.. ..have no idea about the food, we tried for an hour without any luck with that part.
Service here is friendly, personable, and prompt. The food was delicious and the portions were an excellent size. The $2.00 plate sharing fee is no problemo for us; we hate wasting food so we’d rather share plates and order more food if we need it.I can’t say enough things about this cafe. This will definitely be our “Go To” spot for breakfast when we visit Georgetown.
Parking: Easy parking downtown if it’s not peak season.
The best iced mocha I’ve had in years. The best omelette ever, and I am a well traveled person. Excellent service, and very nice atmosphere.
What a gem of a restaurant! Stopped in last Saturday morning when in town and WOW - food and service was impeccable!! Hats off to Nita and her friendly staff. We will definitely return!
I'm trying to figure out the reason for the rave reviews I see. Went there for breakfast this morning. My husband got scrambled eggs, a waffle, and ham. The ham was 3 round slices about 2 inches max in diameter (like silver dollar pancakes) and thin as slices of deli meat. Eggs were somewhat over cooked and had black specs in, perhaps the grill. I got one pancake- very dense and heavy and not very tasty...again with black from the grill. Had to ask for butter and noticed everyone around me also had to ask for butter. Trying to cut costs? I would not go back, especially with other options available. The best thing about it was the server, who was quite nice.
Camper was our waitress. Service was great and breakfast was perfect. If you are looking for a good breakfast this is the place.
Oh My Goodness. This is THE BEST breakfast place in Georgetown in my opinion. When I come home, this is always where I want to eat. The pancakes, the coffee, the omelets, the service, the cleanliness. It's as close to perfect as possible. I'm so thankful my sister introduced me to this place.
Traveling through Georgetown on vacation and got lucky finding this quaint little cafe. Bacon was delicious and the grits were some of the best I’ve ever tasted, which is saying a lot since I’m from Tennessee! Rocky Top!

Great coffee shop - totally enjoyed our morning there . Wish we would have ordered more. Friendly and great service
My friend and I enjoyed our visit to Coffe Break Cafe. We each ordered the Turkey, Brie. Apple wrap, which was delicious. The homemade potato salad was wonderful. Our waitress was a sweet young lady who was very attentive to us. I only wish I had saved room for one of the homemade cinnamon buns. We can't wait to visit again!
Great food and service. Staff is wonderful!
My husband and I take trike rides to coffee shops. Mom and pop shops, All over. Our friends turned us on to this little quaint charming place. That carries a slew of sugar free syrups, mainly caramel. And I was wonderfully surprised that we were greeted by the owner, who is so friendly, welcoming and....has a great sense of humor. It was a true small time feel. And the local art on the walls are just a great touch. We give it the highest review!!! Share this place with your friens. You won't be disappointed! Godfriends. We will be returning I returning.Matt and Amy Teeter
I’m sure the breakfast is probably delicious but we wouldn’t know.We actually made the trip to Georgetown to visit Thomas Cafe which was closed at the time we arrived. A local couple recommended Coffee Break so we decided to give it a try. After standing in line for 20 minutes we were told that if we wanted breakfast we should have a seat and someone would come to our table… there were no tables available inside so we sat outside. There we waited another 15 mins for someone to come take our order. After the long wait and no greeting, we finally left. We’ll be back to Georgetown, but not to Coffee Break. Disappointed.
