This is definitely a situation where you will have to pick a struggle if you're health aware and LaMars will win every time. I’m only in the area once a year, it’s too good to pass up. Everything about LaMar’s is great. Not to mention, it’s always a family affair when I go because that’s where we meet when I come to Georgetown to visit.

Love the shrimp and fish. They have the best grits I've ever had.
I love it here ,from the food to the people,they always nice but not overly nice just real ,it's always clean food well set not overly seasoned but you can still taste flavor just remind you of when your grandmother used to cook for you in the south highly recommended please tip the ladies upfront deserve it big time????????

WOW! WOW! WOW! Today was my first time at Lamar's Fish and Chips, and boy, am I glad we found it! My friend and I wanted some seafood today, so we looked on Google maps, and saw Lamar's. We decided to try it, and I'm a happy man. We gat there just as they were closing, but Earl, the owner welcomed us in, and fed us. The food was delicious! The ladies were very gracious, and service was quick, and extremely friendly! This will be my go to spot whenever I'm in the area. Earl came out and gave me a little bit of the history of Lamar's, and let me tell you, he is a very friendly man! Thank you, Earl, and your wonderful staff for a wonderful dining experience! Lamar's will be highly recommended by me.

Tried the cat fish nuggets very generous portion a bit fishy but did enjoy the flavor of the batter very meaty. The founder was super tender great flavor. My wife enjoyed the shrimp. The French fries and hush puppies were on point delicious. Priced to portion size. Seating capacity 20.
I've been living in Georgetown all my life and this has always been the best seafood in Georgetown. The breakfast is wonderful personally I love the seafood platters that they serve at lunch they are spectacular have plenty of food in it enough to eat off of

What was not to like? Great food, large portions, friendly and fast and a very reasonable price. We should have tried it soo er, but will be back. I had flounder and shrimp with the Sunday special sides. I hurt myself and still couldnt eat it all. My friend got the same with fries and coleslaw. So.eo e previously mentioned the slaw and he said the same. Not soaked in vinegar and not swimming in mayo...perfect!
