I was just in Georgetown to do a drop-off and went downtown for lunch. The River Room was the first restaurant I saw so I thought I'd give it a try. I am glad I did!
I got the Shrimp Po’boy. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and they were large and plentiful. I came a soft hoagie roll with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and a great tarter sauce. The side of fries was way too much but they were light and crispy. As much as I wanted a cocktail, I had to drive so I got sweet tea which better than average. Great service and right on the water.
Next time, I’ll try the shrimp and grits, or the Bang Bang shrimp pasta, or the gumbo. Their dessert menu looked good (especially the bread pudding)!

Came here a few weeks ago with my daughter for Valentine's. We had a really rude customer (turns out to be 92 year old) lady that said some pretty rude and hurtful things at the table next to us. We showed grace/forgiveness and asked the waitress if we could just move. Long story short, the waitresses, the owner and the food was absolutely amazing. I would definitely eat here again!

Comfortably sat by a window with water view. Very clean, fresh smelling. Prompt , friendly, helpful service. Delicious Gumbo, Goat cheese spinach salad, but CREAMY balsamic vinegarette, made the salad. My friend had grouper.. Dont miss their Sautéed Pound cake with berries, ice cream ,portion so large .. very shareable... plus they were open on a Monday!! I'll be back.. make this interesting place with historic photos, your go to place ...
We never miss going to RRR when visiting Georgetown. The gumbo & seared tuna salad were excellent!

It was a nice place for a midweek lunch. Server yesterday working lunch shift and covering the water side of the restaurant was very nice and accommodating. Food was good. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is there was no fresh seafood. I don’t fully understand seasons and seafood in that sense, but I find it hard to believe there is NO fresh seafood available in that area during this time of year. Otherwise nice place for a meal.
