I feel this is one of the best restaurants I've been to in the U.S. Everything was as it should be: from the food to the service and atmosphere. This place has it all!

Omg, I'm so disappointed, had to send undercooked shrimp & scallops back 3 times, ordered seafood pasta, omg horrible, I don't know how they stay In business. Salad took forever. The bread was good. You need a new chef.

Absolutely hands down our favorite restaurant in Georgetown! They never fail to deliver. Great place to “belly up” and sit at the bar. Great place for a celebration with family and friends. And the best kept secret is that they are also a great place to cater your event! Thank you Jimmy and Crew for always providing great food and great service!

Food and service were wonderful. It can be a bit loud inside. Glad we made the overnight stop in Georgetown to have dinner here.
Parking: There is a small lot in the back. But you'll have more luck parking on the street. Depends upon how busy the historic district is.
We love Georgetown but this was our first time dining ant Root and it’s become our new favorite! Amazing food, service and atmosphere! We will be back! Thanks Dee for being a wonderful server!
Nice atmosphere waited over an hour for food to be served. People that came in after us had already eaten and left. Ordered a salad with grilled chicken why did that take so long to come out? Won’t be going back. Food wasn’t great.

Food - ran out of scallops, ranch dressing, crab cakes, and grits. Waited 2 hrs for food only to be told they did not have some of the ingredients for our dishes. Medium rare steak was bloody and grouper overly fried / burned. Manager nowhere to be found. Restaurant was warm. Awful experience.
