We (husband, daughter, me) were passing through, and we love to stop in Georgetown when we have the chance. We decided to try SoCo Grille based on a recommendation from Darby at Purr&Pour Cafe. We were helped by Savannah. She let us know she was fairly new, and we appreciated that. We did have a couple of small hiccups with getting our food or whatnot, but between Savannah & Nicole, we felt very taken care of as far as customer care. The food was AH-mazing, fresh, and generous. We had beef, chicken, and fish (Happy Hour) tacos, and an order of hush puppies. Everything was so de-lish, I'm still thinking about our meal several days later. đ€€đ€ We will be back! đ€
We ordered an appetizer 20 minutes before our meal, they both arrived at the same time about 40 minutes later. The food had little flavor and the fried items were soggy (I had the southern BLT and my husband had the blackened grouper sandwich, my daughter had the fried chicken sandwich) We don't plan on returning, for the $100 cost we will continue to try other establishments.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Soco Grille in Georgetown, SC. My partner and I waited at our table for 15 minutes without so much as a greeting or acknowledgment from the server, who I believe may have been the owner. During that time, we watched him clear tables, engage with other customers, and even scroll through his phone instead of coming to serve us. The restaurant was relatively empty, so there was no reason for such a lack of attention.
We were prepared to give it another five minutes, but it became clear we were being ignored. While I canât definitively say it was racially motivated, we were the only people of color in the establishment, which made the situation feel even more uncomfortable. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone based on this experience.
Chowder was disappointingly lacking in seafood. Tacos were tasty, salad was amazing. The floor was so slippery. All up, ok.

Food is always excellent. Staff seems confused on the times ive been but they at least give effort and are eager to serve. Cant say that for other places on the street.

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving buffet here. Was totally unexpected as we thought everything was closed. We were docked at the Marina.

SoCo Grille in Georgetown is a fantastic spot for a quick and delicious meal. Their sandwiches are the real highlightâwell-made, flavorful, and crafted with quality ingredients. Each bite shows attention to detail, making it clear they care about what theyâre serving.
One of the best parts of the experience is the fast service. Orders come out quickly, so you can enjoy a great meal without a long wait, perfect for a quick lunch or when youâre on the go. The pricing is very fair, especially considering the quality and taste, making it a great value. If youâre in Georgetown and craving a good sandwich, SoCo Grille is definitely worth a visit!

First indication we should have just left, sticky table. Wife ordered Chicken pot pie, "don't have any" (on the menu) ordered Ruben instead. I ordered short rib melt. 20 minutes later, Ruben comes out (the size of a dollar bill) was told by the server " I just found out we don't have short rib melt" Need I say more? Here's the kicker, while sitting there waiting for the meal that never came, the cook walks by with his gloves on, grabs the dirty doorknob, goes outside, does what ever, grabs the dirty doorknob from the outside and proceeded to enter the kitchen to prepare some other non existent menu items. I have NEVER given a one star review but this place certainly earned theirs.

We stopped in Georgetown on our way north on 17. We had lunch and were very satisfied. I had the seafood chowder ( normally I avoid seafood chowder because it usually tastes fishy. But I wanted a lite meal). The chowder was rich and creamy. There were actual identifiable pieces of seafood and vegetables. My husband had the fried oyster meal and was delighted with the size and taste of the oysters as well as the sides. We shared a slice of hummingbird cake. Price was reasonable and service friendly and quick. Oh excuse the pictures. We started eating before I realized I wanted to share this find.

In the beautiful quaint town of Georgetown, SCâŠnestled on Front Street is âSoCo.â
Here, youâll meet the friendliest staff, (Carrie) is one of the delights. Very well mannered and hospitable.
The food: never frozen (they donât even have a freezer according to owner, Craig) and you can tell!
The pimento cheese bites, with jalapeño and subtle cumin with red pepper sauce wasâŠI want more!
The crab & shrimp stuffed flounderâŠhelllloooooo gorgeous! It was a special that needs a permanent real estate spot in the menu.
We got it blackened and it was creamy, fresh and with the squash casserole: it spoke âsweet Southernâ wordsâŠ
This is your spot.
