Natasha did an outstanding job with her table service and brought the menu to life with her explanations of dish preparation. We had the beet salad and tile fish, which were both delicious. Started the meal with a great cocktail (sazerac) at the bar. The only complaint is that it took a little longer for the entree to arrive- perhaps consider ordering oysters in between the salad and entree. Overall, an excellent experience. Both the bar and restaurant had a comfortably lively crowd and beautiful decor fo the holidays.

The food was horrible... prime rib was overcooked, potatoes were burnt, and the vegetables were raw. We spent $60 per person for a terrible meal. Never going back

This was not worth $60 per person. The food was not as described and quality was awful. My ham was a half round slices not a nice ham they cooked. The sweet potatoes were in square chunks thrown on a grill not cooked and the carrots were mini burnt carrots. My husband ordered turkey it was two small white slices and a dark piece that was all skin, 2 tablespoons of gravy and it was dry and not good. The people next to us also thought the food was awful and they aren't coming again. We will never come for a meal like that again, over priced and horrible quality. You need a better Chef that can do some very good traditional holiday dishes that are great if you are going to charge $60 per person. Honestly it was the worse Thanksgiving Dinner I have ever had!

We've been to the Independent a number of times since it opened and, as always, the food and service were both excellent. It's well worth the 25 mile drive to Georgetown.

This was our third time coming there for dinner. It was my mom‘s birthday. They always take great care of us. The food is outstanding. The ambience is perfect. Level was mostly quiet. Excellent drinks. Highly recommend this place.

Great restaurant in a lovely out of the way town. Came by boat. Docked right behind the independent at a very nice marina and had dinner. Will go again!

Fantastic dinner for our 30th anniversary! Cornbread and miso honey butter was incredible and the rad snapper was perfect. The service staff made us a card and had all signed it when we arrived. They all made us feel special. Highly recommend The Independent.
I think they were a little understaffed in the waitstaff - service was a little slow. The food was very good and everyone was friendly.

This is a find! Out of town. Went for Brunch, unknown, found on Open Table. Had best green tomato BLT ever and my wife had shrimp tacos. They were perfect. Our waiter was great. Had cocktails ditto! Place is beautiful. Will defeatedly be back.

The food is amazing, the service...next level! We had a party of 6 very different palates and everyone was equally as pleased with their meal. Tasha was our server and she was the perfect compliment to our meal. Knowledgeable and personable! If you are in Georgetown, this is a must!

We had a nice meal at this fairly new hotel restaurant. They have done a nice job with both the hotel and restaurant. Service was excellent. The food was nice and well presented. The shrimp are the best deal on the menu- we did not care for the pickled strawberries!

Had a birthday meal here and the service and attentiveness was top notch. Ruthie was our server and was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The staff all signed a birthday card and presented a little gift package of golf balls, tees, and a towel because they knew my interests prior to arrival. This is high level class to ensure our experience was one to remember. We had a nice variety of appetizers which were all delicious, as were our main courses and desserts. A+ all around.
