My family and I have been here quite a few times since it is just a quick ride from our house. The food is usually pretty good, but the last time we went was lackluster. The fried green tomatoes were good, like usual, but the stuffed crab and fried okra were horrible. Ee also had the stuffed flounder and the calabash chicken (chicken strips), and they were okay. Not sure, but from the look and the taste of the seafood, I would guess that it is frozen. Something to consider is to raise the age that the children's menu goes to because my 9 year old could not eat an adult sized portion.

Excellent place! Very clean! Food was good especially the smoked Cornish hen! Potato salad was just ok. I prefer eggs in mine with onions celery and peppers. Okra, fried tomato’s and beans were very good as were the hush puppies. Very good wait staff, attentive but not over bearing.

A sweet little spot in the country overlooking a pond. The restaurant is very tidy and clean. The food was good but the sides were cold. Our waitress disappeared for a bit and I never received a refill but she was nice. We were loyal customers to the owners' former Boathouse Fish Camp in Cross Hill, SC and wanted to give Boondocks a try. We will return for another try.Parking: The front lot was full. There is extra parking to the side. We were there at 4:30 and the spots were filling quickly.

Omgosh..this place is awesome in every area!! I had the butterfly jumbo fried shrimp, mac n cheese, fried green tomatoes with the Boonshine tea and a taste of the smoked ribs. Food was amazing and the smoked ribs were the best smoked anything I've ever had! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND, DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK!
