Called the restaurant at 9 o’clock. The message advised me to leave a message that they would call me back concerning seating and also said it was open until 10:30 PM. I left a message. No one called me back so I decided to drive over to see if there’s any available seating and arrived at 9:45. We were met at the door by a lady telling us they were closed. Please change your message on your phone as well as your webpage to say 10 o’clock!!!

We dined at The Peddler in South of the Border and had a mixed experience. We ordered the salmon with a sweet potato and baked potato and mixed vegetables. Our appetizer was the fried mushrooms. 0/10 on the mushrooms.
While the other food, especially the salmon and potatoes, was absolutely delicious and well-prepared, the service time was mind-blowing.
It took over an hour just to receive our appetizer, and our entrées didn’t arrive until shortly after the appetizer, meaning a 1.5-hour wait time. Surprisingly, guests who arrived after us and ordered steaks were served before us, which made the long wait even more frustrating with not one update the entire time.
The veggies that came with the dish were underwhelming compared to the quality of the rest of the meal. Overall, the flavors were great, but the extremely slow service made it hard to fully enjoy the experience. If the kitchen and service staff can improve their timing, this could easily be a great spot.
