The Sombrero Restaurant - South of the Border

Our server, Stephanie, was really nice. she was so cute with her deep southern accent! She made sure to keep our drinks filled and let us know the updates on our food... The restaurant is really clean and very very nice! I'm surprised there aren't more people here..... Hope they get more business, on other days... If not, it's a shame and more people need to know about this place! They have a good mix of food options, on the menu and a large selection on the salad bar. I just got a BLT and fries, it was good. My son got a chicken salad sandwich and it seems like it was gone, in 2 bites 😂

Food is always good and I enjoy it

Expected Mexican food but it wasn't. They did have tacos for lunch special (one beef and one chicken) but I couldn't eat them. Reminded me of high school cafeteria food. We didn't finish. The dining area was clean, neat and orderly. Staff were friendly. Food over priced and lacking any quality.

Fun and relaxed. Great stop in for a well prepared meal at a reasonable price. Prompt friendly service. Everything was very clean. Seating comfortable for most body types. I had a chili dog and rings, the onions on the dog were nice and loud and the chili was also very good.
Chicken club was also very good according to my wife.
Fun place to stop and hang around and relax from the road.

The hostess and waiter were very nice and my service was good. Had the salad bar which has plenty to choose from. It is a sit and order restaurant. In my opinion the place was a good place to eat.

Salad bar was good. Chili was great and the service was good. I really wanted to see if their Mexican food was good… but, the had none! WTH

I came in to have a couple drinks and get some food. The food and drinks were amazing. Gracie and Michelle are the best employees and will make sure you have a great time! You will not regret coming in.

Chicken was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. Fries had a ton of salt I was unable to eat them. Broccoli cold. I was so mad ad disappointed ?☹️ server was nice

I'm a truck driver and mexican. I was expecting some type of Mexican food but not is like a taco bell but pricy very pricy, got the steak Mexican and I feel like I was at texas steak house ,I was looking for enchiladas,huevos rancheros, food was really good and the staff but food nothing different to make me to come back ?

Food and service was great, but please note!…they do not serve mexican food. It is southern comfort/diner food…the name fooled us as well. However, we decided to stay and eat, and the food was very good!

Much better than the Burrito Loco, stopped for breakfast (and I'm not much for breakfast) on the way home and was surprised by the large portion size, especially for the price. The breakfast itself was pretty great too. We don't get this much good food for such a small fee in Florida anymore and with great service to boot. ??
