Rio Chico - Hardeeville

The food was terrible here, our waitress was awful, she missed multiple orders, didn’t bring silverware, she also brought bean and cheese dip to the wrong table and we watched the people dip their chip in it, she then realized it was wrong and took it from their table to ours after it had already been used and thought we didn’t see it. We had to get our own to-go boxes and she tried to call us liars when we spoke to the manager when there was 14 people with us and saw her do it. Will NEVER COME BACK!

Service could do better. Asking for food items and drinks 2-3x and the server forgets each time. Wasn’t impressed with the food and the service set the tone for the overall experience.

We have gone there before but everything was wrong that we ordered hopefully it was just an off night (the manager offered a discount and asked if we wanted water and he never did either) hopefully next time we can give a better review

I had a tasteless Taco salad this evening. I
Tasted like lettuce with sour cream. Absolutely no taco seasoning detected. I complained and was graciously brought another taco salad that was equally bland.

Despite seeing some not so great reviews here, I had a desire for Mexican food today, and the location was in the same shopping center as the grocery we needed to visit. We were not disappointed. The service was immediate, the chicken chimichanga I ordered was tender, best I've ever had actually. Husband had the shredded beef in a burrito and a taco and reported zero fat, tender and very delicious. I also splurged on the handmade guacamole, which was enormous. I would have liked it more spicy, but it was exactly as described. Oh, and the habanaro salsa i requested had plenty of heat. I eat at Mexican restaurants frequently. This place is excellent all the way around. We are here for a week and I won't hesitate to go back.

Not sure what this got 4 stars. The food is actually pretty bland!! Won’t order here again. Ordered a shrimp burrito and it was bad. My wife also didn’t like her meal either
