The sauce isn't what it use to be.

Wow! The best BBQ we have ever had! Definitely worth the drive if you are in the Myrtle beach area on vacation. The 3 meat 3 side combo platter had ribs, pulled pork and chicken as well as coleslaw, potato salad and baked beans. We ate there on the outside dining area. It was so much meat that we had leftovers! All 3 meats were so good that we ordered a plate to go to freeze and bring home to CT. We will be back! Scott’s family is making him proud!
Parking: Parking near the building as well as room across the street to fit tractor trailers!

Though the Patriarch and the Matriarch are deceased, and Rodney has delved into other ventures...his Uncle has done an excellent job in keeping the Scotts Barbecue legacy alive and flourishing.
There's still some tweaking that he needs to do to make it his own but I'm sure that will come with time. It's still worth a STOP and a DRIVE-BY... Enjoy ‼️
Parking: Because of an extremely busy highway... leaving can be a hassle but due to the southern hospitality, there's always someone to help you with a smile.☺️

Scotts BBQ at Brunson Crossroads in Hemingway SC is unique. But for slow cooked hickory smoked pork BBQ it is in a category all by itself and can't be beat!

Food is ok. But they are never open. They closed early. No customer service. Just very disorganize. Since they open backup this year. My last time coming 2 hours there. Just for them not to be open on their schedule hours. Bad service and no dedication to their customers. Get it together Scott’s!

I’ve been a patron of Scott’s for around 15 years. I was just there a couple of days ago, and the entire experience was on point. It was extra special because I was introducing several friends to the cue here. First time visitors are frequently surprised about the cash only policy. The cue was perfectly cooked, moist, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Of course, the service and friendliness of everybody, patrons and employees, was fantastic. One of my friends took home another five pounds, and we all took a bag of fresh pork rinds to take home as well.
Parking: You can park on both sides, but there is far more room in the lot across the street.

Are you looking for that old school authentic southern bbq experience? This is the spot! True pit cooked bbq, no frills, just flavor. The sauce was spot on and pulled pork was moist and flavorful. I’ll be back again next trip down to the area. Bring cash or hit the ATM at the gas station up the road.

Best pulled pork I've ever had in my life. I've been eating it since I was a kid and nobody else's BBQ has topped theirs. ❤️? nothing like some of their BBQ on some white bread ?
