Decided to try Diane’s Soul Food restaurant while traveling because I saw they sold soul food. Unfortunately the chef had an emergency therefore we were able to eat off the lunch menu. The food from the lunch menu was awesome and truly enjoyable.

Nice people, but service was kinda slow and disorganized, the food that I ordered was also underwhelming. My wings were smothered in a gallon (I am exaggerating) of barbecue sauce. I had to wipe each one with a paper napkin before eating it. My cheese burger wasn't good either, the bun was cold and the burger patty was way too small 1/8 to be exact, I asked for extra onions and got a very light amount the size of a pickle slice. The price is way to expensive for what you are getting. Paid over $15 for the basket that didn't come with fries? Why doesn't a basket have fries and it is listed on the menu under baskets, that states, 'with fries'? I was very disappointed in the quality and portion size, I may or may not go back. It's kinda hard to take them serious as they seemed sorta laxed and off-course.

This place is my go-to place for home cooking. The soul food is Amazing!! The Oxtails are awesome. Sweet and tender. Love them!! The Pot roast is so delicious. Fork-tender, slow cooked and with their Yellow Rice a true winner. The service is fast and friendly! They have daily selections on the chalkboard.

First off the employees are the sweetest people ever. If you take a long time to order the customer service NEVER changes. The food is so good and the chicken actually looks like chicken instead of some other places that when you get chicken, it’s the smallest thing ever and there’s no meat on it but here there’s a bunch of meat on the bone. The chicken is really freaking good. The rice is seasoned. The mac & cheese is delicious everything there is just so good I would definitely recommend this place. I don’t know what all these other reviews are talking about when they say “where I’m from people to close at 5 PM” well where you’re from people probably don’t cook good. Other reviews might say that this place is bad I said that this place is good and my mom knows the employees.
