Decided to try Diane’s Soul Food restaurant while traveling because I saw they sold soul food. Unfortunately the chef had an emergency therefore we were able to eat off the lunch menu. The food from the lunch menu was awesome and truly enjoyable.
Nice people, but service was kinda slow and disorganized, the food that I ordered was also underwhelming. My wings were smothered in a gallon (I am exaggerating) of barbecue sauce. I had to wipe each one with a paper napkin before eating it. My cheese burger wasn't good either, the bun was cold and the burger patty was way too small 1/8 to be exact, I asked for extra onions and got a very light amount the size of a pickle slice. This place is my go-to place for home cooking. The soul food is Amazing!! The Oxtails are awesome. Sweet and tender. Love them!! The Pot roast is so delicious. Fork-tender, slow cooked and with their Yellow Rice a true winner. The service is fast and friendly! They have daily selections on the chalkboard.
