Grace's Restaurant - Honea Path

Very pleasant place to eat. People working there are nice, food was really good at a fair price. We had the BLT with potato salad which was good, waffle with bacon and eggs was excellent. Chicken salad sandwich was good and cheeseburger with fried okra 2as very good.

I have been eating there for almost 3 years now and the food has always been good. Never really had any issues aside from a few moments that customer service could have been better or missing items but everyone has bad days and makes mistakes.

The reasoning for my review is that I placed an order for pickup, left and dropped my food before even making it in my house. I called to see if I could get a replacement, offering to provide photos of the food, to bring in what I could salvage of the food, etc, and they denied my request for a new meal unless paid at half price and denied a refund. This was extremely disappointing as I never got to even eat the meal and their only solution is to charge me more for a meal that consisted of a side of grits, a side of loaded hashbrowns, and a single scrambled egg.

I hate to write a bad review, because we’ve had lots of good visits here. Unfortunately our experience 9/13 was just awful. We met our family there, and waited 30 minutes to have our drink order taken. I flagged the young lady who was our waitress down after watching her check on one other table in our section 4 times. We got our drinks, she took our food order, and we didn’t see her for another 45 minutes. She finally came back and told us there had been a printer error in the kitchen and our order had just been started and pushed to the front of the line. We decided to wait. She left, never got refills while she was there. We wait another 15 minutes and another waitress comes and asks us if we’d like refills. We say we would, and I ask for a manager. Manager is supposed to be coming with our food to talk to us. Manager brings out our food, apologizes for the wait, and disappears. Original waitress has been checking on multiple other tables during this time (we saw her check on a different table 4 times). Second waitress asks us if everything is good. We never see the manager. Overall, very disappointing experience. I hate to write that about a restaurant but I at least expected the manager to come out to address the situation. Highly debating on whether we will ever return for breakfast.

U have to try the coffee! Ground in house with a light hint of blueberry... Just the thing to introduce ur taste buds to the morning. Grits were perfect, omelet was just like Grandma make, and the biscuits were grilled perfectly. Paid less than $20 for 2 people. Will absolutely be back!

Fantastic old timey, Southern comfort Food, Family Restaurant. Excellent menu selections and quiet, inviting atmosphere with scripture on the wall and contemporary Christian music. Exceptional southern hospitality service. I was there later in the day, and they were out of roast beef for the opened roast beef dish, so I got a three egg western omlet with hashbrowns. My meal was perfect! I will definitely be returning for the opened face roast beef with fried orka. I will become a regular customer at Grace's. If you want your taste buds tickled with a very satisfying meal, I absolutely recommend this restaurant! YUMMY!!
