My wife and I bought a house last month to spend our golden years in Honea Path!
My wife and her friend were down doing preparations for when we move in next week.
They had a late lunch before they came back to Greenville. WOW, they both LOVED the meal. Fried catfish and fried chicken meals. BEST SOUTHERN HOME COOKING we have had in years!!!!! My wife was raised in Kentucky and I was raised in Tennessee. Cooking like are Grammies. Waitress was awesome! Very busy.
WE WILL BE REGULAR CUSTOMERS!!!
To the owners, you must be very proud of your restaurant!!!! See you soon!

Have to use their atm to pay for food. Only two servers. Waited a long time to place order and to get the food. Do not recommend.

The food is mediocre, and the people are the GEM here. I was in town for some business training and was in need of breakfast and dinners. Everything was good until the sausage gravy. It doesn't have sausage in it they added sausage patties to it for me. There's something about sausage gravy when the sausage drippings and bits and pieces of it are made with in the gravy from the get-go. The flavors mesh together. This is a Cash/Personal Check for payment. If you don't have cash, they have another ATM machine inside. I ate both breakfast and dinners.
On the dinner plates, the French fries could be cooked longer. They are not at all crispy, and of course, they lack flavor as they are cooked in Clear Cooking Oil. I didn't eat all of the fries, just a few because they were on my plate.

Good local diner vibe. Seat yourself and waitress was over pretty quick. Service was good, was a few minutes wait for food but it was fresh and hot when it came out. Half pound bacon cheeseburger was hanging outside of the bun! I like my crinkle cut fries a little less crispy so will ask for that next time.

The ketup did not taste like ketup and it had a funny smell. She brought us another one and it was nasty too. The egg omelet was slimy...the hash browns had a weird taste. The bird dog was cheap. The chef salad had hard bacon bits instead of real bacon. The ranch did not taste like ranch. The cheeseburger was awful...it smelled like old cooked hamburger meat and the way the meat looked...I don't know what that was. I have been going to Lou & Perry's since I was a little girl and this was so disappointing and disgusting. I will never eat there again.

ATTENTION PEOPLE FROM OUT OF TOWN!!!
THIS PLACE HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREAT TO COME TO AND EAT. HOMESTYLE SOUTHERN COOKING, NICE WORKERS, INSIDE NICE. HOWEVER BEAWARE OF THIS BEFORE YOU EAT !!! " THEY ONLY TAKE CASH OR CHECKS FOR PAYMENT, BUT THEY HAVE A ATM THATS THERE IF YOU ONLY HAVE CARD... SERVICE CHARGE IS LIKE $2.85... NOT INCLUDED WHAT YOUR BANK OR CARD FEE WILL BE EXTRA. AND THE HUSHPUPPIES THERE WERE MOST DEFINITELY WAAAAYYY OVER FRIED COOKED LIKE 5 MINUTES ADDED TO WHAT SHOULD HAD BEEN.... THE PHOTO YOU SEE I POSTED IS DARK BURNT LIKE, AND YES THEY WERE HARD. DONT THINK THE BUTTER GONNA FIX THAT. AND BRING A SWEATER OR JACKET BECAUSE ITS ALWAYS COLD IN THERE" OTHER THAN THIS ITS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR LONG TIME, STILL WORTH POPIN IN TO DINE AT.....

The coffee is at the door. Pick your favorite cup and sit down, she'll be with you in a minute.
They know where the menus are and they know if you aren't from here. But they'll smile at ya.
You know when the volume is high with the breakfast crowd it's just plain good. The sausage gravy anf sausage biscuit was my favorite.

Really good food at great prices. Been here several times and never disappointed. Staff was friendly. Great catfish , good salads , best country ham club in South Carolina. Best onion rings anywhere. Burger was hot , lettuce not wilted, and was very good. Will be back.
