I love the ice cream but wish I could remember how much to base to put in my cup. Would like more "adult" toppings, e.g. different types of nuts, cherries, etc.

The staff were super helpful and walked us through the process because we were clueless at first. They have recipe cards to use or you can make your own. We all went rogue. When the liquid nitrogen was added to freeze the ice cream, our boys were loving it! They may never be excited about ice cream the regular way again, and it all turned out great! The best part of coming here though is that the staff are caring people. My 4yo flipped his ice cream on the floor about 2 bites in and broke down crying. Jasmine saw him, called him over because she actually remembered his name from when we ordered, made his ice cream for him again without charging or making him wait in the line, and really made his night. You don't see kindness like that often. Will definitely be going back!!!

Different way to make ice cream. It's more of the experience I feel like. The only downfall to the way its done is if it gets a long line then it can be pretty slow just because you spend so much time getting it made and making decisions. But the overall experience is pretty cool and the ice cream tastes pretty good too!

Ice cream tasted great, love the texture, main thing is following the recipe, also employees are very helpful during the process. I am chocolate ice cream fan so i choose s’mores, it was perfect. Price for two medium cups without lots of add on was 15$, it’s a good price for fresh ice cream. We definitely will be coming back.

Stopped in after mini golf. Excellent place and staff. Clean and friendly. Very patient allowing us time to peruse and try flavors before deciding

Different. Good ice cream! Didn't care for the process and the time it all took. Trying some new and it was a good experience but there's nothing like good old fashioned hand dipped ice cream!

*Update*5 Stars. My wife took my daughter back to give them another try after a long day outside in the heat. The manager was top notch and very engaged in customer service (my wife sent me a video, unfortunately I wasn’t able to join this time). She matched the excitement of my daughter when she told her about her sticker chart, which is huge for me. Showing excitement for kids that are already so excited about ice cream just makes their world. My daughter loved watching the “smoke” from the machine as it mixed up and froze all the ingredients she chose. They enjoyed every bit of their ice cream and the experience making it. I’m pretty bummed that I missed the trip with them but very thankful for Milkster’s hard work to take care of their customers.3 stars because it was great the first time we went but was closed during open hours when we just tried to go. My daughter was very excited as she had been working on her “good behavior sticker chart” for a couple weeks so she could earn her special ice cream at Milkster. We drove 35 minutes from Waxhaw to get there at 2:30 pm on a Friday when the stores hours say open 12-10pm on Fridays. So we left and decided to go to Waxhaw Creamery for her ice cream where they have had awesome ice cream for years.

This place is horrible. It’s watery and a super weird concept. You fill your cup with liquid and there’s no way to determine how much ice cream the liquid will turn into. Just a terrible experience. Go somewhere user friendly.

One star bc of service. I got my normal.... heath bars pieces, vanilla & chocolate. They milkstered it & handed it back.... The guy who milkstered it grabbed his nose (like he smelled something or he inhaled the gas, idk) & started laughing... the others joined in. My mom got basically the same mix & her's was creamy ice cream... mine was hard as a rock & wouldn't mix up at all. I added cherries on top & then asked about the texture of the ice cream. The girl checking us out said it was fine.... it would melt. We sat inside & mine wouldn't melt or mix with a spoon. I took it back to the counter & they said they would remix it.... threw it in the blender - cherries (with stems) & blended it (stems all through the ice cream now). While blending it, they were giggling & whispering. It did look smoother so I went back to the table but I still couldn't mix it up, it was still rock hard. I went back up & asked for a refund. They did offer to make a new one instead of the refund but was still laughing & giggling. I wasn't paying $8+ for ice cream that I couldn't eat. I feel like something happened when they mixed it the first time (maybe over froze it). Instead of making it right then, they preferred to laugh & tell me it was fine. I don't blame them for whatever happened to the ice cream, things happen & it is usually good ice cream. However, their behavior was unacceptable. 4 young adults acting like kids instead of doing their jobs in a respectable manor. We won't be back.

Im a previous worker ,the manager russel gibbs has had numerous people quit and he does not make us for the days we were working b4 hand. he owes previous employees money and does not manage his store well. this is all fact they will make you guys sick it has not been together since 2/3 employees lefts milkster just because of his management he does not treat the employees well and does not need to be an owner and he makes black owners look bad. I will not be coming back to this location its not welcom to its customers and the new manager just sits in a rolling chair im saying for the sake of anyone who wants to go there after reading this if you care about youre health dont go.

Not impressed. Ice cream was runny and took a little too long to make 4 cups. Girl making it kept yelling please wear gloves to get toppings and mix ins but she didn’t wear gloves or wash her hands. I do not foresee me returning.

Half chemistry class, half dessert! This is unlike any ice cream place I’ve ever visited, to be sure. The ice cream isn’t frozen (initially) as it comes out as a melted base. Ingredients are added (recipes are on the wall), before a “cook” freezes and mixes it all together using liquid nitrogen. My daughter LOVED the show, as did I, and the flavors were spectacular. If you’re looking for an cool culinary experience, Milkster is def one of the coolest ;)

Pricey, but was expected considering the novelty factor. Be prepared to tip. Our server took the utmost precautions to clean the utensils and use uncontaminated ingredients from the pantry due to our egg and nut allergies. Our server was very friendly and even let us film him while handling the nitrogen and mixers expertly. Ice cream was delicious. We tried the chocolate and vanilla flavors with fruit mixins and toppings. The other flavors were not guaranteed to be nut free. Unfortunately, they were out of m&ms. One of the kids before us spilled their cup, and it wasn't cleant until we left 15 mins later. To be fair, it was quite busy, and there was only one server. Join their rewards program to get 1 free after 5 orders. Limited parking. Wheelchair accessible. Visit the cupcake shop nearby for desserts to go.

Went here tonight with the family. Thought the Ice cream Was good , but the girl working the counter looked miserable. She didn’t greet people, she seemed annoyed at us asking questions. A family came in and looked around and she was rolling her eyes behind their backs. This girl working the counter made my mind up that we won’t be returning to this establishment. You need to hire people that will greet you with a smile, and offer to help. She didn’t smile once. Total turn off

Great experience, friendly staff. Great ice cream. Will definitely go back. I would post pictures, but I ate my serving too fast.
