Always so friendly here! And REALLY good food with the best service :) there’s outdoor seating that’s nice but I love the indoor as well. My fiancé and I love going here!

I loved the fried chicken! Creamy mac and cheese and the cabbage was great too. Mashed potatoes were also great! Would definitely go again!

I give it a 1 and truth be it was hardly that. Drove there from 30 minutes away because I wanted Chicken livers. When I went to order she said they were out. My husband had already ordered so I’m rushing to find something on the menu that I wanted. Then a side I wanted was also out. BBQ was soggy! Don’t bother picking out a sauce that you like because it’s already way to wet. When I asked her if they ran out of chicken livers often she said “no”. I said okay didn’t know if I should call ahead next time since I drove here especially for them. There was no I’m sorry no comments. Tables were dirty, we had to get someone to wipe one off so we could sit down. It took about 30-40 minutes from time we ordered to get our food. $51 for two BBQ plates and two teas! It’s no wonder they don’t have prices on their website. Will not go back!

Got there a little bit to close to closing time but we still managed to get served. Choices were slim but no one left hungry.

Allan brought out some hash while I was waiting for the rest of the food to cook. Honestly, my life flashed before my eyes. It was a dining experience that the OG Michelin stars were meant to capture. This is worth driving out of your way. The food is other worldly.

I just picked up a BBQ plate from their food truck in front of Tractor Supply in Boiling Springs. The plate included pulled pork, smoked sausage, cole slaw, potato salad, and a bun. The food was delicious! I look forward to visiting their restaurant!

Big Al's is a hidden gem! Momma D is just the sweetest little lady I ever did meet, and her whole family working there are all so nice. Her home-made old-fashion recipes (like grandma used to make), are simply the best! Her son Al is always in the kitchen cooking up her delicious foods, and he's such a nice guy, even after working so hard all day long! I haven't tasted southern food this good, since I was a kid! It might be a little hole in the wall place, but it's definitely worth the wait, so get in line and just wait it out....for the best food you've had since...who knows when!!! Of course, you can always call in orders and go pick them up, if you are not inclined to wait in line.

Maybe a glitch, but the menu board was nonexistent. The paper menu had no prices. I had to ask for a take-out menu, but was told the "prices are not accurate." So much for price shopping.... I ordered brisket, beans, and slaw for about $ 17.50. The brisket was warm, tender and a little above average. The slaw and beans were mediocre. Overall, about average. I generally expect above average to return, but my average may be your excellent. Good luck if you wish to give it a try.

Great food. Friendly staff. If you're looking for country cooking this is the place to go.

Great food. Go early so they don't sell out!

10/10 would visit again!Called ahead and didn't need to make a reservation. The menu wasn't huge, but had the classic burgers, ribs, Philly cheese steak, red beans and rice, homemade Mac & cheese, & great seasoned fries. The food was beyond good, wasn't a long wait time even for made to order food. The ribs fell off the bone, and the burger and Philly was fantastic. Even better, the price is competitive and the amount of food is well worth the price.I feel like if they had a sign advertising on the far side of Strawberry Hill, "Good southern cooking! 2 miles ahead of the left!" they would get tons of business from anybody not wanting to wait at S Hills.

I’ve always really liked this place. The people are so nice & will take the time to talk to you. Never had any issues & their chicken is to die for!
