Food has always been great. I go by and pick a couple plates up on my home from work sometimes. Last two times the food has been extra greasy, & the chicken seemed under cooked. They basically refused to give me extra cocktail sauce. Not sure what that’s about.
The food was very good and definitely the highlight of the visit. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome at all times. The atmosphere is calm and allows for easy conversation, especially if you are not very demanding. However, the first impression could be improved, as the place looks somewhat old and would benefit from renovation. I ate at the Lake Bowen Fish Camp on Sunday. The servers rushed me through and gave very small portions not at all like I used to get there. Some of the food was cold. When I sat down it took forever for the waitress to give us silverware and take our drink order. When she was asked to get the peppered vinegar she bluntly said "we don't have that!"
