I have eaten Chocs twice at catered events and it is the best bbq! Even his sauces are out of this world. The owner works hard and seems to go above and beyond to cater to his customers.

I've been here twice. The food has been mediocre both times; overdone, mummified fried chicken that was really expensive and "pulled" smoked chicken that resembled tuna salad. :( It was "hash" not pulled, and vigorously salted to boot. The server/counter-help was clearly not trained. I can't understand how a restaurant businesses can be so clueless...it almost seems like this place wants to fail. If you're thinking of dining here: HARD NO.

This place has became one of my husband and I favorite place to eat. The mashpotato and BBQ is the best . My husband is so picky he doesn't ever rave over alot he usually always can find a way they could if did it better lol. But he is in love with this place. He got a little bit of everything and we loved it all. The macaroni is SO good and the hush puppies. yall need to give this place a try.

You HAVE to come here for some of the BEST BBQ IN THE SC!!! We drive over an hour to sit in this small town restaurant, listening to live music, and even meeting with the owner himself. Jeff Jordan has really put his heart and soul into his food and it shows. I recommend Choc’s to anyone who wants good food and a good time all at a good price.

1st time trying Chocs. Had a taste for chicken and waffles. Although the waffle could have used a few more seconds to cook, it hit the spot. The chicken was fried perfectly and the waffles tasted great. Big piece of chicken. I will be back.

Sampler is stunning! Family size baby. Basically all you and yours can eat. BBQ and sauces are delish. Sweet tater crunch is as good as mammas. Been several times and as good as bbq anywhere.

Chocs BBQ in Iva, SC is the place to be. Fast service and good food every time we drive an hour to come visit this quaint small town. The town may be small but the bbq isn’t. Full plates for a reasonable price keep us coming back. Owner Jeff Jordan has put his heart into his bbq and it shows. Y’all visit him whenever you get a chance. You won’t be disappointed. Ps. I used to absolutely love their tater bowl with roasted taters, and now they changed it to mashed potatoes and it's just a mushy nasty mess.... service is good, but they took a good thing and ruined it :p

My second time eating here and the wait staff is still struggling. The one today seems to put her personal agenda ahead of the 3 tables seated. My first meal in the picture is burnt and over cooked. The owner did make me a fresh piece tho it is flavorless and bland the house sauce does help though chicken from a bbq restaurant should be bursting with flavor. The picture is of my first meal. My second meal came out similar just not burnt. It’s roughly a $10 meal

Service was a struggle to say the least. Having to ask for multiple refills on a drink is super annoying. Especially when you’re pretty much the only table in there for the first 20 min of our time there. Fries that were ordered with the meal came out after the fact, because I’m assuming they were forgotten. While paying I didn’t receive a ticket for the meal, so I just paid the price of $79.00 plus a $10.00 tip. At first I told the young lady I didn’t want a receipt I then asked for it. I then found that I was charged for drinks two times… So I had to go back in there to ask for a refund. The food was sub par. I ordered a smash burger didn’t realize that it doesn’t come with cheese. I ordered it as a Carolina one that came with chili, mustard, onion and coleslaw. It was not good at all, chili tasted burnt. I finally pulled the two Pattie’s off and just ate that with cheese. Husbands plate was huge. It probably could have fed us all. He said he really liked the pimento cheese and the potato salad. I’m not sure I’ll return or can say I will recommend this place.
