Hubby and I tried this little cafe and were greatly surprised. Loved the food, atmosphere and server. Cute quaint little town! Pleasantly surprised. We tried the bird dog and side salad. Hubby had Mac n cheese with his bird dog. We had sweet tea also. Very good and affordable prices. Will go back! We told them to get some good IPAs and it would be a perfect place.🤣Server said he would put the word in.🤣

Have been 4 times. Each time they are out of food. The last time we were told all we have left is pork chops. Really???, how can you have a restaurant if you don't have food. We will not be going back.

John's food is good, but their chicken is literally the star here! chicken fingers are MASSIVE and flavorful, their fried chicken - same, big chicken breast, well seasoned and breaded.
Let me say this though, rating a restaurant low cause you decided to come on one of their busiest days, waited longer than you had to, then demand a discount? Petty. John's in Iva deserves more praise. Ps: Make more broccoli casserole!
