So why only 4 stars? They are their own worst enemy. The food is great and the service is the best (even the robot gets cudos - yes, they really have a robot that delivers food). The problem is that because they are so popular, they can run out of the ribs or chicken some nights. Those are our two favorie entrees, ribs or half barbeque chicken. Both the regular and HOT sauces are excellent. As for sides, the fries are phenomenal and the cole slaw is their own special recipe and it's awesome.

Delicious!! We were looking for some great southern barbecue on our way home to Michigan & Steelhorse did not disappoint. 2 adults, 2 teen girls, everyone was pleased & stuffed. Brisket was fork tender, pulled pork was juicy & the chicken strips were fantastic. All of the sides were delicious as well…fries, baked beans, potato salad, Mac n cheese & fried okra. We all shared a big slice of smoked black cherry cheesecake, highly recommend!! Everyone working were super nice & the atmosphere was barbecue restaurant perfection.

We stopped on our trip south from Michigan and are beyond happy! Sandi was an outstanding server, and the food… blackened grouper sandwich was perfect and the brisket was “lick the plate” good, according my to husband! Worth the trip off the highway.

Was a charming clean place. You don’t get a knife but you don’t need it because you can cut your brisket with a fork! Burgers, poutine and Cole slaw was so good too!
