Fried squash, fried okra, squash casserole, fried chicken, cheeseburger, seafood, steak sandwich, chicken tenders, salads, dinners, etc,etc,etc...it's all yummy!
Great LOCAL spot, great good, excellent service, affordable prices
We went in to eat my mom ordered white meat but they were out and had to wait 30 minutes and brought black meat instead MY MOM CANT EAT IT so I angerly told her again I wanted macaroni It was bland the chicken was cold The wait was 45 minutes smh the atmosphere was good even tho there was a bunch of drunk sick people coughing but I ignored it
I will keep eating here but if this happens again I won't ever come back
I went bk home on vacay....Dropped in to see if they Still had the 'Rice Pilaf', it's been yrs since I had some-Did Not disappoint....SOOOO Good, Still Served It & Same Cook!🤩

Love this place. Great food and service.
It gets a little crowded sometimes but during the week it's just locals . The people their are kind, loving, hardworking people.
Slow service and bad food
Was looking forward to trying this place out and maybe bring a group here. ABSOLUTELY NOT
Now with a dog on the table. That is not a service animal and even a service animal can not be on the table. Even ADA does not recognize emotional support animal. Pictures tell the story VERY NASTY, health inspector needs to shut this place down.
We loved the spicy gumbo, brisket, chicken tenders,bbq sandwich and wedges.. our server was friendly and attentive

Thought I would give it a try but it wasn’t the best don’t plan to be going back.
Shady Rest serves breakfast, lunch and dinner except for Monday which is their off day. Breakfast is very good, lunch special menu provides a variety of choices, you get one meat and 3 sides. They have a pretty varied menu and decent prices for the food. Wait staff is always very friendly. If you visit, I think that you will leave with a full, happy tummy.
Great place, wonderful food and best service ever
This place has gone down hill. How can you call and place an order and they ask for your phone number and everything but when you get there they don't have any idea where the ticket is for your order or where the food is. The place is a joke and surely don't go there if you are in a hurry, The wait time is ridiculous.
