I live in Washington DC and came home to visit my family in Johnston. Tried this place and the food is amazing. The inside ambiance is relaxed and real cool. The food looks beautiful and tastes so good. I had the fried shrimp plate, fries and cole slaw. I’ve never had cole slaw like this; it’s hands down the best I’ve tasted. We’ve been three times during this trip. I hope they are still in business when we return.

We came tonight for the first trip to Palmetto Seafood. The food was awesome and the service was good. And we will definitely be going back. Prices and quantities of food was great also. Amanda the waitress did a good job keeping our glasses fill with tea until they ran out and then we had to go to Coke. The place was clean.

Its definitely salty food! Cool atmosphere! The margarita was ok. Had the crab legs and shrimp platter. Seafood mac and cheese was Seafood with spaghetti and cheese lol. Not the best but ok.

So, its alright all around. The food is tasty but a little heavy on saltiness. The seafood itself is pretty good quality. Its got a cool divy atmosphere thats cozy. Our server was nice but we had to request everything including silverware to eat after our appetizers came. It wasnt awful but it was a little amateur service-wise. The price is pretty great for what you get. If you want some good fish, shrimp, and crablegs in Johnston SC or nearby, i wouldnt not recommend it, but it has a few shortcomings.

Visit there last night for the R&B night the food was amazing. The event was amazing and full of energy. The waitress was not, we had waitress named Saniya who came the table and she told my took my drink order and brought a menu and that’s it. She never returned with a drink or anything. That was very unprofessional.Other waitresses need Kiki to our table maybe 35 minutes later to retake our order when she realized we was not being help. She took my drink order again. She got my drink straight to me and my food order and sent to my table in a timely fashion. She really made the process really smooth once she stepped in. Really appreciate Kiki.

This place is absolutely the best! My children wanted to try seafood, so I brought them there. The food was great. Even my son, who barely eats anything, loved it. He said the shrimp was amazing. Our waitress was kind and attentive. My children told the cook, Shema, that they would give the food a thousand-star rating. I highly recommend it.
