Service was HORRIBLE! We went in on a Friday night and waited 15 minutes at the bar for her to ask our drink order. She was not kind. Very rude and just should not be working in the restaurant. We use to like going there because there is limited choices around us. The blonde young lady was trying to help as best as can but the young lady with the braids was insane. We had friends with us that waited over an hour for their food. And when they asked about it she was very dismissive about it. We won’t go back because of the young lady you had working there.

Food was good, service was fast, and atmosphere was relaxed. We will be back. 10/10 recommend. I didn’t take pics until after we started eating but, presentation was also amazing!

When new ownership started earlier this year we feared the change. Fear no more Palmetto continues to provide fresh, well prepared seafood and has added beef and pork specialties. They now over multiple daily specials and are open for lunch on Saturday. We had family in town and it was our place to share. We were promptly seated. With the cooler weather we opted for inside. The beer and wine list continues to evolve. Some recent favorites were missing: Bold Rock Cider and Mondello, but substituted. We ordered the fried oysters, fried shrimp, and broiled scallops. All excellent. Our waitress was new and struggled between orders to get things right. Some training was needed. Also the payment at the table needs to improved. The waitress typically stand over you while the transaction and once complete there is a “push” for you to leave. In total, a great evening and wonderful meal by all. Only the service skills are somewhat lacking. We recommend Palmetto!

I stopped here while I was in Aiken and was a little unsure when I first went in. I ended up very happy with the food and experience. The flavor of everything I ordered was great. The portions were good and the food arrived at our table quickly. The service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The restaurant is nice and well put together. The facility is located in downtown Aiken around all the shops. I will definitely be returning.

Wonderful service, delicious food and reasonably priced! Our server was GREAT! Funny, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We arrived a little early for dinner, so the place filled up with more people by the time we were leaving. Out table shared the shrimp tacos, fish nuggets and mussels. The mussels were my favorite, creamy rich broth and it was the perfect portion size. The shrimp tacos are extremely large and are a great dish for sharing. The fried flour taco shell is crunchy and unique! I was surprised by how tasty the fish nuggets were! Overall, a fantastic meal at a nice seafood spot!

What a surprise! Having just moved to the area we decided to eat something out in a Friday at dinner time. Of course, everyplace is busy and we have an active 3 year old. Long waits need not apply. Well, we stumbled on this spot accidentally. Much bigger inside that what you assume from the storefront. Locals only and a super chill vibe. Lots of room to feel comfortable while away from our home kitchen. The food oh the food! Some fresh and delicious seafood that all of us enjoyed. We will be back and be those locals on the know! Loved it!

A jewel found on a whim! Attended an event across the street and searching Yelp for seafood & crab legs. Gave Palmetto a try & glad I did! Ordered a seafood platter that had crab legs, shrimp, potatoe, corn, an egg and covered in a garlic butter sauce. Also, ordered extra butter without the garlic & it set the meal to perfection! The service was excellent and I would most certainly return!

Certainly enjoyed my late lunch. Friendly staff, good service, and a good meal. Things were clean and tidy, not overly loud, and seating was spacious with rows of booths along either side. I'd not hesitate to go back next time I'm in town.

A coworker recommended this spot and we decided to take the hubby out for Father's Day. The hostess was definitely welcoming and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was a bit on the shy side but efficient. I ordered the shrimp/grits and a side order of scallops. They were okay. I'm not a fan of stone grits. My husband ordered the steamed shrimp and he loved the sauce. My daughter ordered the shrimp Alfredo and she enjoyed it. I would love to come back and try the the shrimp tacos because they looked delicious. The vibe was calm and swank. Not too loud with nice mellow.

We arrived at the restaurant at 0629pm, ordered by 0635pm. We received our drinks at 0642pm. My husband's beer was expired (02-27-2023). The place wasn't very busy at all. A couple sat next to us. 07:15pm still no sign of appetizers, which we got gator bites and frog legs. Table next to us got there appetizers. 0745pm. We ask about our food and was told a ticket was ahead of us. It's is now 0800 and table next to us who sat after has received the exact same food we ordered. We asked if we could get the check for our drinks. We were told by two people it would be fine. Next our waitress brings us some food and tells us "here put it in a box". My husband said no ma'am we just want to pay for the drinks and leave. My husband steps outside and the manager approaches me claiming the waitress is crying because my husband yelled at her. After the table next to us and myself explained he did not yell at her, she was still persistent that he did. I explained to her to please just let me be a nice person and pay for the drinks so we can leave. It's now been an hour and forty five minutes with no food. Most people would've just walked out but we didn't. I received a bill finally and it had more then just drinks. At this point I didn't care and just wanted to leave. The only kind person we encountered was the elderly lady at the hostess stand. The restaurant looked nice but shoes stuck to the floor. They were some how out of toilet paper and drink glasses. We went on a Saturday night and drove an hour because we read the reviews. I spoke to some Aiken locals after leaving and the stated "they are only good at lunch time". Might have to give them a second try then. Also the food that was brought to the table that I was told to box myself was completely cold and the waitress told me when I asked about the appetizers and food they were waiting for it to come out the grease. Well then why was it completely cold. We went based off of reviews and had a terrible experience.

This is one busy restaurant. Even with almost every table full, it was not a long wait.Larger booths have wooden seats while the smaller booths have padded seats. Small booths seat 4 while the large booths seat 6 to 8 depending on customers. We ordered gator bites to start. The sauce was cajun with a little kick. All of the food was hot when it arrived at the table. I had to let my catfish cool off just to eat it. The deep fried corn was delicious. You had a choice of one large taco or four small tacos. You even have a choice as to what type of fish you want. All of the portions are huge. Come hungry or take food home.I only found one draw back to the restaurant It was a bit noisy. I had a hard time hearing what others at the table were saying. This is a restaurant worth returning to.
