got food home and the lasagne dish was 1/3 full . 1 small piece of meat. 3 rd time this has happened. For $20.00 I d like a bit of food. Will never come back and will tell all my friends about this. I sent pictures of the empty tray and tried texting and calling,,, no response.
First time ordering pizzas, pizzas were okay at best. Nothing to brag about. 2nd time ordered pizzas and they were really good. 3rd time ordered subs and they were not made to our order instructions, they were just thrown together, skimpy, not good at all. 4th and last time ordered pizzas, they were burnt. Had them remake them and they were even worse than the burnt ones! Just horrible. The crust wasn't even risen or even formed. Had more badly made food than good. So disappointing as we were told they were the best around. Will not go back. Heath Springs Pizzeria is our go to now,
Delicious food and great service. This was our first visit since the new owners took over. The food was outstanding.
Stopped in Kershaw looking for a lunch venue. This was on Memorial Day and almost nothing was open along our route.. So, we saw Gus's sign and decided to try his pizza.. We had a delicious pizza: the crust was outstanding. I also ordered a Greek salad that was also very good. If we come back to the area we will definitely stop again.
First time eating at Gus' House of Pizza. Myself, husband, and friends at here tonight after our RC crawler event. We ordered 3 small pizzas, stuffed shells and spaghetti. All of the food was delicious with no issues. Service was good. When you are finished, you do have to walk up to the counter to pay. They don't give out checks when your done eating. Overall our experience was good.
Too bad they make salads with bare hands and don’t know how to clean their tables. Food is usually good. A lot better pizza than the Hut!
My family eats here about once a week. The food is very good but I wish the salads had more than just iceberg in it.
Stopped here for a bite on my way through town. This is a great little local place! The pizza was tasty, came out fast, and was just the way I ordered it. The iced tea was southern sweet without being syrup. Maybe this is just the southern hospitality, but the waitress was even sweeter than the tea! Would definitely go back if I was in town again!
My experience at this restaurant has been very good, the pizza is the best I have eaten and my other family members have given rave reviews on the meals they have eaten (spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, salads). Service has always been very friendly, helpful and informative. It is and older establishment and that is want makes it so unique.
We stopped here for lunch before our business meeting. Our server, Rebecca was very pleasant and friendly. I had the spaghetti with meatballs. The plate came out with spaghetti and meatballs that had been baked and tasted delicious.

We needed a central place to meet to celebrate the new babies in the family. We chose Gus' because of a prior experiences over the years. We weren't disappointed. Great service, great food, and reasonable prices were the result. If you live within an hour of this restaurant, it's worth the drive over just for Effie's Greek dressing!
A google search rated this establishment highly but the reviews were not a fair and true reflection of current reality and are largely suspect. As quaint as it looks and as tempted as you may feel, my advice is to keep on driving or face a plateful of disappointment. The place was noticeably grubby inside; with conspicuous brown muck on the children's high chairs that were stacked near our table and a carpet that was in need of vacuuming. The decor is astonishingly outdated but almost fascinating in its cheesiness. The waitress was sweet albeit vacuous, run off her feet (working alone on the servicing of the tables) and oddly devoid of any knowledge of the menu items. She was unable to answer any of my questions and was constantly having to go back and forth to the kitchen in order to ask about basic things and to check on availability. The queue to pay on the way out was surprisingly long and slow even though the restaurant wasn't very full. At some point I tried to order coffee... they had run out of milk (I guess no one could be bothered to to walk a few doors away to pick some up at one of the supply stores?) It didn't get any better from there but I finally settled on a meatball and spaghetti meal with a meat sauce. The meatballs were an abomination... almost fake tasting (like the mystery meat used to make low budget tinned meatballs?) the spaghetti was near the point of being mush (also tasted like it had come out of a tin) and there certainly wasn't ANY meat in the meat sauce! When I queried this last point, the waitress assured me that there WAS meat in it and that THAT was how they made it there. I think she was wrong but if that IS the case then they are defrauding their patrons, it had to be so infinitesimal to the point of being microscopic. Altogether the meal was absolutely unpalatable to me as an adult; it was just like eating a tasteless spaghetti meal from a jar of commercial baby food. The pizzas were not much better and were small and sad looking. There was nothing Greek or Italian about any of the food we were served. I left most of my meal uneaten and I can, without reservation, advise that it was the most dissapointing meal I've ever ordered. Just in case you think I'm being a tad critical, I took a look around the restaurant on my way out and noticed MANY plates of the SAME dish that I ordered, just left on the tables, almost completely uneaten. How the kitchen staff/chef can continue to serve up such offerings, knowing that the patrons are not eating it, is perplexing. It is a clear indication that something is wrong.
I have been maybe ten times. And the food is OK. But the girls that work there always mess up our order. I usually get it to go and they always leave something out .They charge me for it but don't give it to me. I have to go all the way back to get it. The last time the blooming onion was burnt spaghetti was dry. I had rather drive a little further to Lugolf House of Pizza near Camden. The food is great. They have a big selection and every thing is good.
I have found that their food is excellent, especially their spaghetti with Italian Sausage. However, their service is not always good. I have been in there when they are not real busy and it has taken quite a while for a waitress to come over and take our orders. Waitresses will walk right by us and not even acknowledge we are there. This does not happen all the time, so it does not keep me from going in. I also think that something should be done about how they take to go orders at the register. It seems to me they could have a person take the order away from where people are paying for their meals. When someone is undecided about what they want, it can make for a long line at that register when they are busy. The restaurant is always clean, and when the waitresses do come to your table most of them are friendly. If their food did not taste as good as it does, I probably would not go in to eat because of the length it takes to get waited on and the long lines at the register.
Good pizza and Grecian marinated beef tips. The place would look much better if it was remodeled inside.
