I have eaten here for years and in my opinion they have the best BBQ in all of South Carolina (and yes, I am a BBQ freak). Their sides aren't all that great, but just get a pound or 2, or 3 of their Q and make your own sides. I go there at least once every month or two... its about 40 mins from where I live... well worth the drive. Never disappointed.
This place is a hole in the wall find. It is like an old country store that has a grill. It looks sketchy for sure but, my word! It is amazing bbq. I got the bbq sandwich and I got plenty of bbq for 2 sandwiches. There is no bun it is all old school white bread. I have not had this kind of bread in so long I forgot I even liked it. My wife and I drove out to Hemingway from Myrtle as we were here from Virginia on winter vacation. The reviews for this restaurant were enough for us to come and try the food and visit the pits to see whole hogs being cooked. We went in and ordered, there was no BBQ so we got ribs and chicken with sides and an extra side of sauce. The ladies in the restaurant were Fantastic, Helpful, and Friendly.
