Food wasn’t great. Shrimp were so low quality I couldn’t finish them. Prices ended up being much higher when I paid my bill than what was on the menu. I didn’t notice until I had already paid. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Spent $31.00 plus 3.00 tip at drive thru window for the steak/chicken/scallops and spring rolls plus crunchy roll. Horrible … all meat was very dried out. Scallops fishy smell. Crunchy roll drowned in yum yum sauce. Third time here, this will be the last. It would be nice if you could understand the drive thru server. Appreciate the authenticity but discussed fried rice for five minutes and was not in order.

Restaurant was busy on inside, but they had our phone order ready. Hibachi chicken is really good and there's so much food I ate leftovers for lunch the next day.

On 8/7/2024, a friend was stuck working 2 jobs in Lancaster & didn't bring lunch & I live in Lancaster & was leaving Ft Mills after physical therapy. The friend offered to buy something to eat.
Although for me, not much healthy cooking to chose from in Lancaster & I ate food there before, we ordered, & paid approximately $55.
I don't usually have time to write reviews, although I got in the habit of reading them, especially hotels & restaurants.
I picked up the food, ready & nicely packaged. Honestly, I was hungry but had another stop before drop food off & separated it.
The friend who bought food before, ordered I think a combo steak, vegetables & lobster roll...sounded yummy , but I ordered..combo chicken, scallops & vegetables & had because friend didn't mind me adding a roll..although couldn't make up my mind, because she recommended the lobster roll & I like seafood & we do like similar food. I also got that .
However, even though it was noted less oil, salt & sauce, the sauce they put on the lobster roll tasted hot & nasty, I couldn't eat it so the friend took it. Ok, I"m hungry, got home & started eating the food..the vegetables were very soft. I love fresh vegetables & for it to be around 6 or so, should be fresh & have slight crunch Tasted old, soft & probably was frozen veg...I was angry...friend spent all that money..actually, I was with her when she ordered & it went up at least $10.00.
I called the friend asked opinion, was not happy..I wad not happy ate some of the rice then dumped in garbage..Still hungry & angry..Will never go agan..Ugh. almost $69 hard earned money just not fresh food .trash,!!!!!

I was standing waiting to pay the bill. In-between the cash register and the wall to the prep area, there are dead bugs and about 1/8 inch of old black grease. Flies were around our table. I'm not sure how they pass health department inspections. I wish I would have saw the grotesque bugs before ordering. I can't go back. The place needs a good pressure wash with bleach.

I'm from central Florida and here visiting family. My son recommended this place and he was right. I had a Volcano roll and a Tempura roll and hot tea for my beverage. The food was as good as I've had anywhere and the service and prices excellent. I highly recommend Japan Restaurant.

The inside of this restaurant feels greasy and unclean. The soy sauce bottle on the table was crusted on the outside but I decided to see if the food was good since I wasn't going to use the extra soy sauce. Everything, the rice, broccoli and chicken had the same boring taste- soy sauce. I ordered the hibachi chicken... Now I'm hoping this was a one time thing for this Japanese restaurant but I won't be coming back to try it again. I'm sorry.

Fresh and excellent food. Staff is very accommodating. They've only gotten my order wrong at the drive-thru window once, and were happy to fix it promptly. Make sure you double down on the shrimp sauce!!!!
More mushrooms than meat. Not seasoned hibachi.Sushi was soggy even thiu it was supposed to be fried. The Carrots were good. Will not be going back.
