So the first time I ate at Jo Jo's was two years ago. That experience was amazing. I came back into town in business and swing by again. Ordered the Pork and Rib combo. The pulled pork was on the dry side and with no flavor. The ribs were moist, and cooked to satisfaction but seemed lacking from my first experience. The Brunswick soup though is always on spot.

So I don't know what happened in two years but I'm hoping that today's taste was just a fluke and that my next visit down it will be a home run hitter once again.

Oh, the sides were macaroni and cheese and baked beans. I enjoyed the sides just wish the portion was more.

very good BBQ. they were out of ribs when I went but the family pack was very good pulled pork and chicken.

Just bought the family feast for the first time. Definitely my new go to, well worth the money...

I served BBQ and Chicken Halves at a Memorial Day service for Veterans, Jo Jo's prepared the BBQ and Chicken topped off with homemade sauces, we served 140 people, everyone complimented all the food. Jo Jo is a Pitt Master and tops in his trade. This is a must if you love BBQ Or if your planning your next event. I promise you won't be disappointed. Been eating there since he opened. Always great food

Very small town. Fresh pork barbecue that could use more seasoning. Very good mustard sauce, a South Carolina thing. Open Wednesday thru Saturday. Without some population growth this place won't change much. Glad they're open and making a go of it

Went here for a quick bite to eat, the restaurant was really clean and well taken care of, and the workers were nice. The atmosphere … didn’t really sit well with me.

The food was very very bland. I ordered the BBQ sandwich with Coleslaw and the macaroni and cheese. The sandwich was tolerable. It had a nice smoky flavor to it, but the Macaroni and cheese was pretty bad. Absolutely no flavor at all, it was just goopy mush. It really grossed me out. For the price I guess it wasn’t too bad, but still, no excuses. I’ve had lunches, when I was in school, that were free and tasted better than this.
Also one of their wheel chair accessible walkways was veryyy steep

Great place visually. The ladies working there couldn’t be any nicer. The food on the other hand left a lot to be desired. Ribs were super dry. I guess there was supposed to be some type of rub on it but it was tasteless. Same with the pulled pork, great helping of it, but it also was dry with no flavor. The sides tasted like they had come out of a can and had been in a warmer for too long. Sorry but JoJo’s is a NoNo.

Friendly people. Neat building. Sadly, the food, although very tender, is completely flavorless. (They do provide you with sauces, some store bought, that you can add). The meat has zero flavor & the sides clearly come from a can or box. Compared to dozens of bbq restaurants priced comparatively, JoJo's fails big time. Go to Tickle My Ribs or Johnny G's. I really wish the food was as good as the people there, but it's not. Won't return, unfortunately.

Tried this for the first time after living here for almost 6 years.. food was really great, prices were fair/ for this type of food and the customer service was great as well. Will definitely be a regular!

The food here is delicious. I got the two meat plate with pulled pork and ribs with red slaw and potato salad. The pulled pork and the ribs had a smokey flavor. The rub they use on the ribs is delicious. I also enjoyed the red slaw and potato salad. The potato salad is very good.

Love Jo Jo’s Backyard Bbq!! Got a big carry out order yesterday and it was delicious! Everything included as promised. We go to Jo Jo’s regularly and there’s never been a mistake or anything that wasn’t good.
