Where do I start?… I’m late to posting a review. I have attended many events at Southern Dish without anything negative to say! Chef V is always out showing her face and mingling with all her guests. She made me feel very special amongst a room full of other guests. That’s just her style and personality. The food is ALWAYS A1 hands down…from brunch to dinner. My favorite thing about Chef V and her events is that she always includes all age groups. There’s not a month that goes by that she isn’t entertaining kid to teens to adults. If you haven’t experienced The Dish you are definitely missing OUT!

We recently used Southern Dish 101 for a retirement party, and everything was absolutely perfect! The food was delicious—beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was top-notch; the staff was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the entire event. The venue setup was also done with great care and looked fantastic, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Chef Vee catered my daughter's wedding and it was beyond amazing! I was eager to find the Southern Dish 101 google page and let everyone know just how great her services were, very professional and personable. After trying multiple other local caterers, I was growing hopeless and beginning to think I would have to settle and serve my guests mediocre food. That was until I came upon this phenomenal company. Chef Vee eliminated all of my fears I previously had after trying other caterers. I was searching for excellent food to serve my guests and Chef Vee did just that. My husband and I quickly experienced flavorful and incredible dishes when we arrived. Do not be fooled by the small town location. To say we were blown away, would be an understatement. Stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped tenderloins were just a few of the incredible appetizers served during cocktail hour. Several guests really appreciated how tasty yet timely her services were during what could normally be an awkward time for guests that may not drink. Thanks to Chef Vee, cocktail hour turned out phenomenal. All of the food was perfectly seasoned without being overly salted. Definitely be sure to check out their monthly events. My family and I are already panning to attend her next event in May!

We used Southern Dish 101 for our staff Christmas party and it was a HUGE success! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, it was gluten free which meant we were all able to enjoy it. Our staff paid Chef V the highest compliment by leaving NO leftovers. Thank you for making us such a delicious, still talked about meal. You guys are awesome!

Unfortunately, my experience with Southern Dish 101 was far from what I expected, and I cannot recommend their services. In the beginning, communication was consistent with the event manager, Hannah. Emails and calls were responded to and the planning was not stressful or disorganized. Hannah was very professional and patient as she walked us through options for my event.
However, on the day of the event, the chef and Hannah arrived to drop off the food. The chef arrived in a pajama set onsie and as the alcohol/beverage section was being set up by my organizer, she asked to be poured a drink. She was loud and unprofessional. Some of the food itself was disappointing—she mentioned that one of the trays had tipped over slightly during the transport which made the presentation not as pleasing. Several dishes were either cold or undercooked. We requested grilled jerk chicken, lemon salmon, sweet potato soufflé, broccolini, garden salad, and rolls. The grilled jerk chicken was flavorful but dry, the broccolini was undercooked and hard, we had to throw it all away. The guests enjoyed the sweet potato soufflé, and the salmon. I did not get many pictures because I was the guest of honor and did not get to take very many pictures.
Overall, the lack of professionalism and the subpar quality of food made this experience incredibly disappointing for what we paid. I had hoped for a reliable and high-quality service to enhance our special day, but sadly, Southern Dish 101 did not deliver.

The food is always great. Foods range from basic home-cooked style meals to a variety of classic cuisines, and lots more.
I recommend more events like Wind Down Wednesdays. Where patrons can get more of a taste is Chef V and have a wine down blast!!!💥

We had an incredible experience at Southern Dine 101 in Lancaster, Sc Amelia was our friendly and inviting hostess for the Mother's Day brunch with my Mom. She was gracious and kind. The space was immaculately decorated with Flowers. creating a superb ambiance. The food was simply divine, from the delicious lamb chops, mac 'n cheese snd vegetables to the delightful breakfast shrimp and grits with all the breakfast trimmings. The wait staff was amazing, and the overall atmosphere was truly delightful. I will return for more of this place.

Being this was my first visit to this establishment, my first experience was a great one. I had the club sandwich wrap, and it was delicious, a must try for anyone visiting for lunch. Looking forward to a return visit to try some of the other dishes on the menu.
