My husband and I drive four hours, round trip, to eat at Stax! Our favorite day is lunch on Thursdays, because my husband loves pork chops! He usually only eats one, because we love the mixed dried beans, baby carrots, the best cream corn and the tiny fluffy biscuits! The tea is made just like we make ours, dark and not too sweet! Then of course dessert! I definitely love the peanut butter cheesecake and my husband loves the Oreo cake, if available. Michael was playing our favorite...

The outside of the restaurant is really cute - please excuse the last review. I have not been since the new owners. I am sure it is a wonderful restaurant and is located in the beautiful town of Landrum, SC.

Found this restaurant while traveling. We normally stop at Hare and Hound, but were looking for a change. WOW. The food was old timey great, and the variety was very good. Excellent chicken and veggies--did I mention that the desert (included in price of meal) was a special treat. Will be back.
