Hare and the Hound is an amazing find in the small town of Landrum. The atmosphere is wonderful, even the outdoor patio was very comfortable in the cold weather as they have it closed off and outdoor heaters, If needed. The menu has a lot to select from with great options, including a couple of vegetarian options. The food was amazing, you can tell that the chef puts a lot of thought and effort into the food. Our server was extremely friendly, helpful, and offered a lot of insight when questions were asked. Would highly recommend and we'll plan to visit again in the future.

We found this place on a road trip. Hungry for lunch we Googled restaurants nereby. The Hare & Hound came up and looked interesting. To our delight the atmosphere, food and service were outstanding. Terrific menu to choose from! Josh, our server was not only attentive but friendly. The town of Landrum is cute and quaint. Really good experience.

We had a great lunch; burgers, reuben, and tuna melt sandwiches, and my mother had the fish and chips, which was so fresh and delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty. Our server Josh did an awesome job, very friendly and quick service. We will definitely come back to visit Landrum.
We love The Hare and Hound, I can't think of anything they could improve on. Their food is top notch, their service is incredible. We normally get the Guinness pie stew but we were there for brunch so I ventured out to try the country fried chicken with sawmill gravy, mashed potatoes, and normally green beans but I swapped it out for half fries half onion straws, their fries and onion straws are incredible! The country fried chicken is huge, perfectly seasoned, and crispy.

I have always said this place has the best bar food in the area……. Tonight, we tried the special entrees. Wow, we were blown away. We had the snapper and it was amazing!!! The steaks are great as well.
Okay my food was very fancy + tasted amazing. Truly only the finest meats, bread, vegetables, sandwiches, specials deserts, and alcoholic beverages around. The food was presented well in the Guinness beef pie, I ate especially there (delightful onions straws and mashed potatoes in the center looked and tasted amazing.) I have tried a couple of there special's and they seem to change weekly!!! Taco Tuesday was great I like the purple cabbage with Sriracha and beef the best. Once again the presentation with the Tacos, taco holders and refried beans/ rice are like no other. And the taste is truly out of this world all prices are fair considering quality and the staff seemed so eager to seat, and quickly prepare my drinks and popcorn (homemade) as I picked from what seems to be one of the most diverse menus; from sides like chips,onions straws, fries,onion rings sweet potatoe fries. Appetizers like mozz sticks and loaded potatoe skins are a must try and crowd favorite. The bar was an amazing experience the upstairs more so than the bottom because Mrs larae who is now our favorite and most intriguing bartender makes are drinks to the criteria and makes it her personal anicietive to show a entire bar her most admirable and professional mind matched with the personality and style of a avid interior designer. She needs a raise and everyone and I mean coworker, family member, customer could learn something from her subtle meek nature when a customer is experiencring personal concern about there order or diet restrictions. When she is speaking with fellow coworkers she makes sure they know how to converse with customers in the most concerning and understanding way that they can. The store has been around for 20 plus years and multi business owner Mrs Patty who also does catering and hosts a ballroom for guests at a very reasonable price. From the entryway to the exit this will be my favorite place to eat in the area and surrounding areas. Give em a try 100% satisfied everytime.
