So to say this clearly without any offense. The restaurant was beautiful. It was an amazing waitress at the door who took my order. She was very polite, and if I had gotten her name I would definitely mentioned her here. She was amazing!! Now to the bad. I was from out of town. I had a long day of work being an African American caregiver. I had no time in between clients to grab me any lunch. So I googled a few restaurants near by hoping to find like a Burger King or something that was familiar and nothing showed just this one and a few others, but this one was the one, the food here looked very appetizing, so this was my choice. Besides the amazing waitress and the beauty of the restaurant, the atmosphere was as if I was in a place I shouldn’t have been. The looks I had gotten from many of the other customer's were awful. I felt very uncomfortable, and at one point I even thought to cancel my order and go somewhere else but then I thought, well I already paid for the food and I’m pretty sure it was almost ready, So I waited. One waitress even took my food to the bar before handing it off to the only waitress in the entire restaurant who would deal with me, because of my skin color. This is one of the saddest and many different experiences I’ve had because of my skin color. Overall the food was amazing, my very first encounter with a waitress was wonderful but the atmosphere was horrible.

First timers! Coconut shrimp was outstanding with a great dipping sauce! The chicken pot pie was excellent! Great Rueben & soup too! How lucky were we to have Joshua as our server!! He was very kind, knowledgeable, super nice guy! He said to ask for him during our next visit, we will! Thank you! I think we have a new favorite place!

Usually, our visits are fabulous with great food and amazing service. We more than often sit outside, but that Sunday was grey and cold, so we ventured inside. Our food was below our usual level, and the service needed a little bit to be desired. When we return, we will definitely be sitting outside again.
