Superior food. The service was lacking at our last visit but, that is not how it has ever been in our many visits there. Hopefully it was just an off night for our server.

We had a table for 6 for their Easter Sunday meal. Excellent leg of lamb, Roasted Turkey breast and Baked Ham with seasoned vegetables and potatoes. Dessert was a delicious chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake. Generous servings, more if requested and excellent service by their staff. We hadn't dined here in a while and decided to try their Easter Sunday special and we were so glad we did. Wonderful meal. Will definitely return.

Had dinner here with my SIL and Aunt. We decided to come here based on the reviews and it was someplace we hadn't been to. We made reservations for a table in the bistro (upstairs). Since it was early spring, the grounds were not much to look at. The exterior of the house itself was ok, I would have liked to see at least some cut greenery or lights to give it some pop. We walked in the door and straight to the hostess stand. She greeted us and said that our table was ready, so we were seated right away. Going up the stairs to the bistro we saw pictures on the wall. At the top of the stairs we went to the left toward the bar, to get to our table. I really liked the atmosphere upstairs. Very kitchy and cozy. Cork lined walls, spoon collections and various artwork. Our server greeted us and was very nice, however she was new and inexperienced. We asked her some questions about the history of the house, but she didn't really know anything. She ended up taking our drink order (2 kettle one martinis and a glass of wine) and brought us some bread and butter. After our drinks came out we ordered some appetizers. Two of the ladies were light eaters, so they ordered apps as their meal. They ordered the mussels, the mozzarella Riviera (caprese salad) and the beef tips (x2). I ordered the Chilean sea bass. Everything came out at the same time, which is what we wanted. However my aunt's beef tips had blue cheese crumbles in it, which she had asked the server to leave out. The server said she'd bring a fresh one without the crumbles and told my SIL and I to eat the one that was on the table. This was fine, however it took FOREVER for my aunt to get the replacement app (without the crumbles). My SIL and I ate the tips while my aunt waited. The tips were very small, but tender, and were on a bed of roasted fingerling potatoes with blue cheese crumbles. The app was a bit oversalted, IMHO better to under salt and let the patron add. The app was also mostly potatoes. Very little beef tips. I'd pass on this app. I also tasted the mussels. They were just ok (I've had better). The mussels were a bit over cooked and chewy and the sauce was thicker than I like. Pass for me. I didn't try the caprese salad, only because I'm a tomato snob. IMO when a restaurant serves a dish where the tomato is the star of the dish, the tomato should be perfect. I expect a lush, red, juicy, flavorful heirloom or vine ripened tomato. The tomato in this dish was pale and looked kinda mealy. Rule of thumb, don't order tomatoes in the off season. Pass. The highlight of the meal was my Chilean sea bass. It was cooked perfectly and the carrot tarragon puree was delicious. My only gripe here is that the server forgot my salad. We ordered dessert (bread pudding) and it was very good. I did ask for an espresso to go with it, but it took so long to get it there dessert was gone by the time it got to the table. All in all the meal was ok, but I've had better in the area. For this price point I'd say your better off going to Clark's, Boundary House or Oyster Rock.

Entree was very good and service was as well. We had to order dessert with entree-cheesecake was stale and inedible. And very nice employee started dragging chairs on the hardwood floor and crashed a table in the middle of our meal-ruined the dining experience.

First time here because they server Beef Wellington. I was pleasantly surprised at good the Beef Wellington was. The waiter did an excellent job and didn't rush us at all. Overall this is a very good restaurant and definitely will be back. Honestly, the prices were really good for a restaurant of this quality.
