The Star Tavern

Never saw the bartender one time the whole 3 hrs we were there. Some bar back did bring our food out and he was the only person we saw all night. We had to go to the bar to get our drinks. When we settled our tab, some bar maid got in our face and questioned our tip. Told us to leave and she didn't care if we ever come back. The tip was 10% of the bill. We live in Little River and do frquent Star Tavern with our friends quite frequently. But we will not be back and certainly won't recommend this place to anyone. Great job whoever this bar maid is.

Terrible bartender screamed at me asked me what I wanted then slammed them down on the bar!!! I think it was all about the money (tip) but I am a bartender as well and he would have been tipped quit healthy but the way he treated us was terrible!!! We are from out of town wanting to have a good time and he ruined it for all of us. So if you go there make sure you tip for every drink don’t wait till you leave or you will be embarrassed just like us!!!

Hidden gem, good food - ask for Bang bang shrimp!! It has inhouse made sauce, great service, theres even a Lego miniature Tavern in the back. Live music and great atmosphere

Let’s just start with I’m a huge fan of live music! Understatement!!!! So that said, I love Shrimp, Shrimp, Shrimp… So first time had a daily special Shrimp and Scallops with FF Outstanding, for the price a bargain Second time Fried Shrimp and Onion Rings Even better than the FF Each time I brought some home to my wife She is a home body Now she wants to go, eat and see some of a show We are talking over an hour round trip And she hates to ride in cars So if that doesn’t make you want to try something Go Just GO Tell them NormTv sent you I’d be shocked if you were not happy Some bands are louder than others Bands start at 7pm, so eat early, stay for a song or two, or all night!!!! Enjoy Iits like Hotel California You can check in…. But you can’t check out!!!!

Super fun place with surprisingly solid bar food and heavy pours on the drinks. The music -- live bands most days of the week -- was really good. Lots of people were up and dancing and having a good time. We had beer and well drinks (very good), jalapeno poppers (excellent) and chicken quesadillas (very good). Highly recommend this place for a few drinks, great music, and solid bar snacks.
