I went without many expectations because a place in the middle of nowhere 🤷🏻♀️
Pleasant surprise, a highly recommended place. EVERYTHING is made by them, they serve you incredibly well and both the Mediterranean pizza and the hot chocolate were superb.
It was worth the trip

Great little coffee house / Sweet shop /snack place. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We actually got there a little after they closed but they opened for us and promptly made us some delicious treats as well as some hot chocolate. If you find the shop closed just head over to the humble pie pizza place next door if you want some of their delicious treats. Great place to go after your adventures of kayaking, fishing mountain biking hiking etcetera. A great way to refill your fuel stores. They also have some fun little mountain bike trails in the back.

Stopped here 4 out of 7 days on your trip. Lattes were great and my kids loved their breakfast sandwiches. I had a BLT with arugula. The ice cream was delicious too! Everything was fresh and they had healthy sandwich options. ?
The Sunday we were there they had a great farmers market right next door.
Kid-friendliness: You can grab ice cream for the kids, eat outside, and there’s a small playground in the back.

Probably the best coffee I’ve ever had. We come up and eat at Humble Pie and get coffee for the ride back home. The lemon chewies are out of this world. Really friendly people and can’t say enough nice things about The Guage Coffee House. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

The homemade bagels here are so delicious that now all other bagels taste like cardboard to me. Great place. The owners are great.

I love this little place! The house made bagels are just delicious, some of the best I’ve ever had. The coffee is from an Asheville roaster and it’s so wonderful! The coffee house is so close to Reedy Branch Falls you could enjoy your bagel and coffee there or take it to the falls!
