Disappointed! I ordered the Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya. I got 2 big chicken wings and 1/2 of 1 slice of sausage. The picture shows my sausage with a teaspoon. The portion size was not what I expected. They did bring a very little bit of more sausage when I asked. It took 25 minutes for my meal to arrive. The server tried to give me pork chops that belonged to the other table that came in ten minutes after me. This was not the worst Jambalaya I have ever had - but it was different with the wings and no seasoned chicken in the rice.

SO!!!!! Can I just tell you!!! My mom and I were supposed to go to Damon’s Rib & Steakhouse for my birthday, as your dinner is complimentary on your birthday. When I got to her house after work, it was clear she really didn’t want to drive all the way over there and the fact that I just drove 25 minutes from the same location somewhat, neither did I. After saying no to a few suggestions, lol I finally agreed on The Big Easy which is right down Hwy 90, 15 minutes from the house. With her being adamant about driving, it was a good decision. ANYHOOOO…. We get there and it is a diner, but not like Double T, it’s small (only five tables and two booths) it’s dated, cluttered and more with a to go sandwich shop feeling than the comfort of a diner. In my mind I was thinking, this is definitely not what I was thinking for dinner…..But I held my tongue because it’s the thought that counts… LET ME TELL YOU!!!!! Don’t judge a book by its cover because literally the BEST red beans & rice I have ever had . And I lived in Nola for three years, working for Dicky Brennan Co, who is considered the restaurant royalty of families in New Orleans. The gumbo was sick and the shrimp and grits were insane!!!! The man behind the counter who was cooking , came over to the table to talk to his and he was from Louisiana and luckily my love for the show Swamp People and Troy Landry is the only reason I understood him . If you haven’t eaten at The Big Easy Diner and you live here, you need to and when you come visit me, believe me when I tell you, I’m taking you.
I have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything that I ordered was great. The Big Easy has Cajun and Southern stye dishes. We eat here at least once or twice a week. I highly recommend trying the food. The owners and staff are friendly.

My husband and I did a google search for restaurants near us. We were visiting Conway. I love diners so we chose Big Easy. We chose the Cajun pork chops with two sides. I had double red beans and rice. The husband had fresh green beans and mac-n-cheese. The food was freshly made. We had not had as good Cajun food since we visited New Orleans. We highly suggest if your in the Conway, Sc area to visit the Big East Diner.
Amazing food and the service was on par. We will be coming back as much as possible. The portions are beyond expectations and the taste is flavorful and juicy. Thank yall so much. They were very patient with my loud kids too :) I got a smash burger, my husband got a catfish po’ boy Cat fish was the best!!
Kid-friendliness: My kid was hangry and loud. They were very patient and kind. Didn’t seem to bother them at all.

Not a big restaurant but the souther atmosphere is perfect like its straight outa Louisianan. The food is made to order from scratch and it will take a while the bigger your group is but personally its worth the wait and the staff was very apologetic for it but we assured them that the wait was fine for the quality. I had the big easy special and it was a catfish platter with hush puppies and waffle fries and the seasoning was great and it reminded of my grandpa’s catfish. Be careful on the appetizers we underestimated how much we would be eating they were so good we filled up on the appetizers before our food came. But we still all tried our meals and we all said that it was amazing. 100/10 recommendation. If your thinking about coming here and are hesitant DONT HESITATE ITS WORTH IT!

Everything was instant and cold, or frozen packaged food. Had the blue plate special, for the day it was country fried steak with to sides. Country fried steak was a frozen patty, got mashed potatoes that were cold and instant, and vegetable of the day was yellow and zucchini squash that had been cooked way to long and had marinated red pepper strips in it that made everything taste like vinegar. Hubby had the se boxed frozen country fried steak, mac and cheese from a box, probably kraft and jambalaya, which he paid extra for. It was more like chicken bog or rice a roti with chicken added to it. It was the first time trying here and will definitely be the last.

First the dining area and restrooms were clean. We both got the chicken fried steak blue plate special. It certainly appears the chicken fried steak patties frozen. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant potato's. Jambalaya was really dry and looked more like chicken bog. Our first time here left disappointed.
Great food and great people. They were a little understaffed and were closing early. But the food was absolutely wonderful.
The grits he said were made with Gouda and were delicious. Eggs, sausage, veggie omelet, potatoes, everything. The Chef/Owner came out and talked to us. Wonderful man. Server was very nice. Please show this business some love and attention.
