We got a cake here for my son’s bday and they are wonderful! They did such a great job, are very kind and have a lovely, clean bakery. The marble cake we chose was delicious and my son loved the Hollywood theme. Highly recommend! (I did accidentally smudge a spot before pics were taken)

Super unique little bakery with amazing, quality staff and even better sweet treats! They make their own 'homemade' buttercream with REAL butter, and you can tell that everything is made with love. Do yourself a favor and ask for the red velvet "local favorite", you will not be disappointed!

Kris and the cake crew are all absolutely amazing! Our wedding cake was everything we wanted and tasted delicious! We had talked to Kris over the phone and email we sent photos and talked about ideas we wanted for the cake, and they gave us exactly what we wanted. We did 1 tier yellow cake with cookies and cream filling and the 2nd tier chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling, it was amazing!

I put a $40 deposit on a wedding cake. A hurricane came in and all non-residents HAD to evacuate Oak Island NC which forced us to cancel wedding event. I call Cake by the Sea to cancel the cake which was not made. I have the receipt…The receipt DID NOT say non-refundable OR put in any time limits. But I was told I couldn’t get my $40 deposit but I could use the credit in the future—I don't live in the area. Well the “future” came and I want to buy cupcakes for my step daughter’s wedding last month. I was told I couldn’t use the credit. I called the shop over 5 times, owner would never return my call. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BAKERY!! If they have no compassion to help someone during a national disaster, I hate to see how they treat you with any minor problems!
